Fin de curso

Fin de curso

There are two months to the end of High School Spanish classes in Lisbon and it's time to decide the destination for the end of year trip. That decision will cause a real "Civil War" between two irreconcilable groups: the "class nerd", who propose the typical cultural trip to Paris, and "freeloaders" who prefer to enjoy the week in Benidorm, the "New York's Costa Blanca ".

Adam T (ca) wrote: Like Snowtown, The Babadook is a creepy thriller that builds on a very un-nerving atmosphere and not the kind of film to watch more than once unless 'creepy and unnerving' is your bag! Essie Davis delivers a breathtakingly dynamic performance as the recently widowed mother.

Alan C (gb) wrote: Not as good as previous one. But Nic Tse performance is good, maybe this time he can get the best actor.

Allan C (it) wrote: If it worked for gymnastics in "Gymkata," why not make an action film about pentathletes. Dolph Lundgren plays an East German Olympic defector who has to use his pentathlon skills (fencing, shooting, swimming, riding, and cross-country running) to escape the repressive regime and later to fight off his evil ex-coach, David Soul, who has tracked him down in America working at a greasy spoon diner owned by Roger E. Mosley. I did enjoy David Soul as the film's villain and it made wish he was in more stuff post-Starsky & Hutch, but overall this film is about what you would expect.

Martin C (ru) wrote: hrmmm, what to say about death spa? well there were boobs 5 minutes and 20 seconds into the movie (i timed how long THAT would take) a bit of eye poking and other gore scenes..but overall not that great...it may work as a midnight movie if nothing else is on and you love 80's cheese!

Stewart S (mx) wrote: 8.0While most casual movie goers give this film only fair marks, I believe Parenthood to be an excellent film and the critics agree. The screen play allows character revelation and development on a wide scale. The actors deliver aided of course by superb direction by Ron Howard. Themes addressed are pertinent and hit the mark. The film is at once a comedy but remarkably serious and insightful in portraying issues that hit home with all of us. It is a favorite film of mine. I think it is superbly done across the board.

Cindy C (br) wrote: Been watching some of the old Ronald Reagan movies on TCM, and was able to catch this one from the beginning. It was a period piece of the fight against John Brown (think Harpers Ferry) starting with J.E.B Stuart and George Custer graduting from West Point - although doing a little research indicated that Stuart and Custer had a 7 yr age difference, so likely would not have graduated in the same year. It didn't matter. We didn't know the difference. We enjoyed and recommend this movie.
