An intricate tale of "medicine, monopoly and malice", FIRE IN THE BLOOD tells the story of how Western pharmaceutical companies and governments blocked access to low-cost AIDS drugs for the countries of the global south in the years after 1996 - causing ten million or more unnecessary deaths - and the improbable group of people who decided to fight back. Shot on four continents and including contributions from global figures such as Bill Clinton, Desmond Tutu and Joseph Stiglitz, FIRE IN THE BLOOD is the never-before-told true story of the remarkable coalition which came together to stop 'the crime of the century' and save millions of lives in the process.

Craig M (gb) wrote: QoS is exciting, but disappointingly predictable. Judy Dench and Daniel Craig are both very good, and the sets/ locales are all very stylish, making the film easy to look at. Story-wise, I like my Bond less rogue and less maudlin. There were too many plot points that were unnecessary. Both "Bond girls" were wannabes, and the opening song was ick, phth! I'm sure people will think, "Shut up and enjoy the explosions!" but Casino Royale is a hard act to follow.
Duff W (gb) wrote: Fun, fast-paced, over the top ridiculous, highly visual, what else do you want in an action movie? Please let there be a sequel. And man, those stunts are spectacular!
Tara S (gb) wrote: Another remake of the history of Robin Hood, but this time delving into the adventure of his daughter, played by Knightley. Yes, it has gaping plot holes and some dodgy sets but on the whole, it's a decent enough film with some good acting moments. Kids will enjoy it, adults may have a job keeping interested.

Jamie C (fr) wrote: A good sequel, It deserved more praise, Danny Glover does well, The story was a little darker but entertaining but it does lose its surprise factor as most sequels do as we know what's hunting them.
Russell S (kr) wrote: It's impossible to talk about this movie without making reference to the helicopter accident that led to the sad deaths of Vic Morrow and two children whilst filming. That particular segment is my personal favourite, though I'm amazed it was ever completed and shown. Speilbergs segment is perhaps the least interesting but on the whole the movie is a reasonable tribute to an excellent tv series.

Directed by Raoul Walsh who has a knack making many memorable gangster movies with this character is not as complex as others he's done with James Cagney. Ida Lupino is the love interest who practically follows and wiling to do anything for him which is strictly by the book but resonating just the same because of the performances and direction by all.3 out of 4 stars
Ben D (fr) wrote: I'm going to get this out of the way right now. This movie is kind of overhyped, but that in no way shape or form did I dislike it. Now that we've got that out of the way, lets talk about the movie. It's a wickedly funny satire that's full of quotable lines. The main comedic drive comes from 2 people: Groucho Marx's Rufus T. Firefly and Harpo Marx's Pinky. Groucho Marx delivers amazingly written lines that never fail to make one laugh. No other actor could have made it work. Harpo Marx plays an idiotic spy who doesn't talk and he brings the slapstick comedy to the mix and it works beautifully. I miss these quick paced satires with biting dialogue. Off the top of my head, the most recent one I can think of is Airplane, which was all the way back in 1980. Hollywood! Bring these back! They work wonders! People of the world! Watch this movie on Netflix before they get rid of it on January 1st! Hurry, hurry, hurry!

Moody, dark, atmospheric drama about the voices in your head and the take down of a top government project. All set in the age of bleak future of northern European. Thank you Sweden!
mike d (de) wrote: Wow...this is quite a find!...extremely misleading title though!....the title Planet of the Vampires does a great disservice to this movie...because if your 1) Searching for a vampire biting of the neck type of a thing here, you will not find it...or are 2) Completely put off by anything with the word vampire in it...that will also completely mislead you too...because the movie is many, many things.a lot of people seem to reckon this was a huge influence on riddley scott's Alien....which you can definitely see in it...and also The Thing....and at times it feels like Forbidden Planet. Its a very inspiring movie....the shots are great and the editing is great too.
