Alex S (kr) wrote: A consistently funny road trip, The Color Wheel showcases Alex Ross Perry's established writing talent, while providing non-stop laugh-out-loud moments that have made the movie a personal favorite of mine.

Markus L (nl) wrote: An okay film let down by an abysmal "oh dear, the budget's ran out" ending...

Jason C (ca) wrote: This is garbage. There's no reason to follow the lives of a single character involved, they're all one-dimensional losers. The writer doesn't convey anything more than an outsider's glimpse into the subject matter. This movie relies on nothing more than shock value, and it's about as subtle as a sledgehammer. All that's on display is a bunch of idiots abusing themselves, children, women, and the elderly. This is void of any artistic value, avoid.

Jake C (nl) wrote: I didn't know anything about this show before renting it, just that it starred two of my favorite actors, William H Macy and Laura Dern. Now that I know that it was based on an Arthur Miller novel, I like it even more. Worth watching.

John S (us) wrote: I like this movie very funny antiques throughout the movie!

Lori B (nl) wrote: The first Akira Kurosawa movie I saw was Ran in a junior college film appreciation class, and I was hooked from the first frame. I've seen nearly all his movies, but had somehow never sat down to see Red Beard. The film's three hour run time may have had something to do with it, but it has been a film forever queued, never watched. And boy do I feel stupid for having waited so long. Gorgeous cinematography pairs perfectly with a perfect script and some top rate acting. I was so swept away by it, that I actually let the intermission run in real time so I could catch my breath. I lot count of the number of perfect, singular scenes that demonstrate Kurosawa's total mastery of the medium. To say I love this film would be an understatement. 5 stars. Available to WI on Hulu Plus.

Stephen Z (ru) wrote: "The Master of Suspense" once again earns his nickname. "Strangers on a Train" is by far one of Alfred Hitchcock's most suspenseful thrillers. In and of itself a well-written film, what really sells this crazy story is Robert Walker's creepy, psychotic performance. This film would have been good without Walker, but it is exceptional because of Walker. His eerily calm manner and piercing eyes convey his character's lunacy brilliantly. And while Farley Granger's performance is dry, it is overshadowed by Walker and by this clever, twisting tale. "Strangers on a Train" is one of Hitchcock's best films, and for a man with such a celebrated career, that's saying something!

Michael T (mx) wrote: Poor Joan Collins, she must have needed something to do while she waited around to star in TV's DYNASTY a few years after this big bug picture directed by Bert I. Gordon (who had directed a ton of radiocative giant running amock flicks back in the 1950s and 60s). by 1977, its chemical waste that causes the ants to grow to enourmous size. Its a so-bad-its-good type of film with cheesy FX to laugh at and Joan is a real trooper as she struggles with such god-awful dialogue and with such phony ant apendages.

Magnolia F (mx) wrote: This fun feel-good family friendly movie brought all my favorite characters from Ms. Trigiani's books to Rich Colorful LIFE! I hope she makes ALL her books into movies!
