Once you get over the fact that there's no Arnie and start judging the movie for what it is rather than what it's not, then you can make a fairer assessment. When the madness of all the street war stuff at the start of the movie is over things improve. Danny Glover works well here and I love the finale in the alien ship. Gary Busey is predictably odd but great. A deserved 3 and a half star rating.

Petros T (ru) wrote: "Bean" is a masterclass in awkwardly slapstick filmmaking. The titular character bumps from one hilariously embarrassing situation to another in a film that has its fair share of memorable, iconic even, moments. Atkinson is reliable in bringing Bean to the big screen for the first time and is aided by the enjoyable Peter MacNicol. But above all, the makers seem committed to delivering painful, no-holds-barred, surrealistic daftness, and they succeed.
