James H (ca) wrote: Interesting, cheaply made, but a movie like this doesn't need much a budget. The acting isn't bad, but it doesn't flow particularly well, it should have been smoother.

Sylvester K (br) wrote: Lust and crime, those two never fail being together. In this erotic, bilingual thriller, we are introduced to two very different females, one conservative and mature, one promiscuous and troublesome. When things went wrong, they started to have complication. It's a good film that engages you and makes you feel like you are living with the two characters in a French mansion. The sexual tension was refreshing within the film and the suspense left me breathless. Franois Ozon's depiction of sex and thrill is amazing like no others.

Rodney E (it) wrote: One of those bad early 90's movies that I would watch if my parents rented. Ernie Hudson wasn't bad but with a role like that you could see where it was going. It's just a stupid movie and I understand some are allowed to be stupid but when you understand DeMornay's position and why she is after the family, it is just dumb
Russell G (kr) wrote: I blind bought this based on liking Zigoffs other work. It was one of those rare films that became an instant favorite. I'd never heard of Howard "Louie Bluie" Armstrong before seeing this, and I bet you haven't either. Don't let that stop you from seeing this. It will make you feel alive. If you like documentaries or music, you owe it to yourself to see this. I can't recommend it enough. My only complaint is that there's only about 90 minutes of footage, I could watch and listen to Armstrong for days.
Ed B (ca) wrote: You can tell just by seeing the opening credits that this movie is straight out of the 80s. Loved the storyline, humor and cast. Overall, it's a fantastic movie. Very John Hughes-esque.
JeanPhilippe G (nl) wrote: Beautifully shot and well acted, Barry Lyndon is a good film, but is bogged down by slow pacing, a long ass runtime and an unlikeable hero.
Bill F (gb) wrote: Compelling. Michael Shannon is particularly excellent.
