Rachel G (es) wrote: Okay - so this scared the crap out of me...still not sure if it was because of seeing myself in so many of these crazy parents or the price of a good starter school or the joy that we don't have to look for schools in Manhattan! Pleanty of great Chicago Schools without this much trama/drama to get your kid in.

Zack S (jp) wrote: I couldn't tell if this was a vanity piece from Pacino (he wrote, produced and directed this pic as well as act in it) or an educational pic for PBS. It was supposed to deconstruct and bring Richard III to a populist audience but all that i got was Pacino telling the audience via voice over what was gong on on screen. It was fun to see round table discussion between the cast of Pacino's imaginary production of Richard III and a very young Kevin Spacey get complemented by Pacino but at the end of the day it made me realize how egotistical actors really are.

From a born-again christian perspective, it was an amazing movie - showing fathers stepping into their God-given role as protectors and providers of their families (although not all of the characters started that way and one was revealed as a hypocrite who talked the talk but didn't walk the walk and ultimately his family suffered because of his sin of selfishness/pride/lawbreaking.)
Rob A (nl) wrote: This movie definitely did have some laugh out loud moments but there were not enough of them to make this a Christmas classic movie.
