(fr) wrote: My dog skip its a great heartwarming film for the whole family. The plot is quite unoriginal and acting is mediocre at best. My dog Skip is a great movie to watch on a cozy sunday afternoon with the whole family.

As more and more people arrive, it becomes apparent that numerous people are turning up dead or missing. It appears to be evil frogs leading the wild life against the humans on the island. Is that even possible?"We are the ugly rich.""We're entitled to be the ugly rich."George McCowan, director of The Magnificent Seven Ride!; Welcome Home, Johnny Bristol; To Kill the King; The Return of the Mob Squad; Sanity Clause; and The Over-the-Hill Gang Rides Again, delivers Frogs. The storyline for this picture is as pathetic as the plot sounds but I did enjoy the use of wild life (frogs, snakes, crocodiles, etc) throughout the picture. The acting is mediocre and as you'd expect for the genre. The cast includes Sam Elliot, David Gilliam, Lynn Borden, Joan Van Ark, and Ray Milland."Canoes are unstable. It's just one of those things."I grabbed this movie off Netflix because I love horror movies, even bad ones...and this was a bad one. There were not any special effects to speak of, creative characters worth following were scarce, and there were no scary elements. As referenced above, I enjoyed the use of the animals, but that was about it. I'd skip this picture.Grade: D
(it) wrote: Though this took place in an abandon building the whole time I still think it managed to be suspenseful and kept me on the edge of my seat. I thought the performances were strong especially from Melissa George but they really didn't have much of a strong script to work with but managed to come through. This movie ended with a bang but I can't help but to think that this has been done before in several movies but it's definitely one of the better thrillers out there to rent so give it a try. Overall it's not so fresh but it's a well done thriller and it exceeds at that alone and it's a good way to kill an hour or two. Recommended!
(gb) wrote: This is a hard film to watch because you actually feel very, very sorry for Bette Davis' character in this case. She is a daignosed with a brain tumor, operated on, and it seems to be successful. But...the doctor lied and she only has months to live. How do you live life knowing that it will be shortened significantly? It is an incredibly difficult film, that was sadly released the same year as Gone With the Wind, The Wizard of Oz, Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, Wuthering Heights, and Ninotchka. Sadly, its brilliance has fallen in the shadows of these other films. What a great film, and another one rejected from the 1001 Movies List. Humphrey Bogart's role is also pretty strong.
