Technically a sequel (to Man of Marble) but even with my lack of awareness of the previous film (and faded memory of Polish history), I found it compelling. Filmed at that time by Andrej Wajda, this film is extremely brave in its criticism of the government and its control of the media. Fictional characters mix with real events (and Lech Walesa himself) during the period between Solidarity's successful strike and the yet to occur (but thoroughly anticipated) imposition of martial law in 1981 Poland

ighly, Highly recommend. Them" mentality all over the world. If more people understand that idea, I suspect there would be far less "Us vs. It's our mindset that informs our circumstances, and not the other way around. I'm fascinated by the basic idea that, in our minds, we all sometimes feel like we live in tough circumstances, even if what's in front of our eyes appears to be opulent, or thoroughly "middle class". It's a constant reminder that the small, simple things (the daughter singing to the radio was, for me, the hallmark moment of the film) are what really keep you going. And (no surprise for some, I imagine) it's a mixture of good and bad, despair and deep love. Burnett absolutely nails the "documentary feel" of what life is like in the inner-city. . . A total triumph

If I was the only one watching it I would of turned it off. 40 minutes I left the room. 20 minutes in I wanted to turn it off. 5 minutes in I new I made a bad decision

I hope Dunn and McFadyen can continue down this path, and give us more in depth documentaries on the golden age of hard Rock/Heavy Metal; an in depth on Sabbath and even KISS come to mind. Watching this also made me long for some remastered concert footage of that band, but alas, guess you had to be there. I could easily watch an hour on each of those albums alone. Put together beautifully, if I were to complain at all, it would be that when they get into the BIG albums ("Love it to Death", "Killer", "School's Out", and "Billion Dollar Babies") I wanted MORE. Alice is absolutely one of the best when it comes to telling and sharing stories of that time. But it's of course Alice who steals the show. Great lost footage as always, and great to hear from a few of the original members of the Alice Cooper Group. But more importantly, they've given us the best documentaries on 3 of my all time favorite acts: Rush ("Beyond the Lighted Stage"), Iron Maiden ("Flight 666") and now this wonderful film on one of the most ambitious Rock Icons ever: Alice Cooper. I admittedly have a soft spot for these blokes, being Canadian and all. Well Sam Dunn & Scot McFadyen have done it again! The team that gave us arguably 2 of the best Metal Documentaries ever: "A Headbanger's Journey" and "Global Metal", keeps producing quality, in depth pieces on some of the very best artists in the area of Metal/Hard Rock

Full of fun gags and crazy action, this is worth your rental money. Burt Reynolds is an ageing stuntman threatened by the emergence of a new kid in town. Great fun

Its music should also provide another good reason to recommend. But the voice acting is energetic and outstanding (with Anne Hathaway standing out), the animation is colourful and excellent, and the story is joyful and funny enough for kids to enjoy more than just once. 'Rio' falls in comparisons as its premise is not exactly new or innovative and it's even somewhat weak compared to other animated films of the same year

Second best Connery film

. . Watch this movie and learn the truth about the "Palestine Vs Israel War" and then tell me who the real terrorists are. It was just so sad to see the way they live is such misery. This film made me cry in many scenes
