Christopher H (gb) wrote: The mystery and suspense within an insular, tight yet completely anonymous community of a cruising spot by the lake. Slow pace and a soundtrack of ambience noise heightens the sense of realism but ultimately too far fetched.
B W (br) wrote: Shahid's acting was phenomenal. Everything from his physicality to his lines made his downright quirky character believable. There are 3 things that make this movie: Shahid's acting, the awesome songs and dance, and the ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS and creative way the movie was filmed. Truly outstanding.
Ayushman S (mx) wrote: Solidly aggressive and bloodier than it already seems, Pete Travis uplifts the venerable character using a strong cast and a fiercely powerful script.

Sean S (es) wrote: Argento's often underappreciated and arguably best giallo; every aspect is well utilised here. A great, memorable score provided by three members of Goblin (who worked on the groundbreaking score for Suspiria); the cinematography, bleached daylight white and moody dark of night by Luciano Tovoli; and the masterful shots and camera work of Argento--panning out of an apartment window then across and up the building to the upper window as its two inhabitants are murdered. Being made in the early 1980s, the film's final twist avoided being a cliche and even then, it's a double-edged sword which keeps you guessing right until the very end. The dream sequences are disturbing, but it amounts to a feeling of deliberate work and you realise everything's right where it should be.

Ryan S (ru) wrote: 4/5. Curse of Chucky is a lot of fun and way better than it should be. It's definitely one of the best straight-to-DVD horror movies ever made and it is easily the best film in the Chucky series. Although the 3rd act isn't as good as the rest of the film, it has a ton of nods to the previous films that fans will appreciate and brings the series to its scariest level.
