Shawn M (gb) wrote: In an otherwise forgettable movie, Anna Gunn gives an excellent performance as a sad maladjusted mother. Not a bad movie overall but not great either.

Alex H (gb) wrote: This movie fails on almost every concevable level, being stupid, boring and confusing.

Silke B (ca) wrote: Ulrik comes out of prison after twelve years. And two guys from his old gang are taking good care of him. They got him a job, a place to sleep and a pretty nice plan to have his revenge on the guy who testified against him. Ulrik seems to be a bit resigned. He does not talk much and does what people tell him. He seems to be desillusioned. He fucks the women who offer themselves to him, and they do it in a very blunt way, he fixes the cars his boss advices him to and he agrees to all and everything his old gangleader tells him. Ulrik has left the prison behind him, but he is still imprisoned and not free at all. He still has barred windows in the room he now lives in, his landlady brings him food like a jailer would do, and he seems not to have the power to make his own decisions...that changes as soon as he finds something that is important enough to fight for. This movie lives from situational humour and if you are looking for some slapstick or knee-slapper, you are definitely wrong with choosing this movie. The subtle undertones make it funny and although the pace of the story is slow, it is never boring.- He's her father.- No, he tried to kiss her.- But it's Poland.

Orhan D (br) wrote: It's the worst film of the world. Bad Bad Bad...

Ted W (ag) wrote: Ok movie. Terrible animated movie.

Sean C (kr) wrote: A strangely interesting film, unfortunately the visuals are stronger than the story. Definitely worth a look.

Dax S (es) wrote: Not bad, but the dialogue wasn't very real and the story was kind of weird and cheesy.

Dann M (au) wrote: Directed by Renny Harlin, Mindhunters is a psychological horror-thriller that's full of suspense. The story follows a group of FBI profilers-in-training who are sent to a remote island for a training exercise, but things take a turn when it's discovered that there's a killer among them. Starring Christian Slater, Kathryn Morris, Jonny Lee Miller, LL Cool J, and Patricia Velasquez, the film has a solid cast. And, Harlin's directing brings a lot of intensity to the film. Also, the writing is pretty good at setting up intrigue and engages the audience; as the intricate death traps used by the killer intensifies the action and heightens the suspense. However, as with a lot of horror films, the characters aren't fully fleshed out and there are some weaknesses with the plot. Yet overall, Mindhunters is an entertaining and chilling film.

Ms Southern L (kr) wrote: I don't like Claude's best friend in the movie. She becomes a hoe and her boyfriend kills a gay guy. This movie is messed up, but a good one. Watch it once, then you understand it.

Timm S (ca) wrote: The Idea Had Some Merit, One Or Two Low-Brow Laughs, But It Ultimately Mocked Itself Far Too Self-Righteously. Lost The Plot. It Was Basically Really Bad At Being Bad. It Needed A Better Sense Of Direction, But I Have No Clue On How That Coulda Been Improved Cos It Was Just So Bad. The Low-Budget Showed & The Serene New Zealand Countryside Didn't Cover It Up. Aiming For Retro-Cult-Horror Maybe? ..Missed It, By Yonks.

John L (au) wrote: Competently photographed. Couldn't tell what was going on half the time, we end up in places the filmmakers never led us. We're just inexplicably there on the other side of the cut. The synopsis given on WikiPedia is more enlightening than anything that actually occurs in the film. The best part of this movie is the end-title ballad, the Jimmy Webb-penned "Lightning in a Bottle", sung beautifully by Jennifer Warnes, this version is reportedly Webb's favorite recording of the song, and one can easily hear why. Which makes it a shame that the soundtrack album is out of print and regularly goes for $100 used!
