(nl) wrote: Even though at an early point you can sense where this movie is going, it still captivates you enough to stick it out till the end. Decent stuff for what appeared to be a low-budget flick, even though some actors should not be getting too many chances in this world.
(br) wrote: it was a amazing movie about cheerleaders
(nl) wrote: I grew up watching this movie and still watch it often. The movie has a good storyline and, let's not forget, very catchy music.
(gb) wrote: Shadow Walkers is about a Top secret government project to build (what else) super soldiers. The project isn't moving fast enough and lots of money is being spent, so naturally, the project is abandoned and the underground boiler room/secret laboratory is sealed off with everyone (and everything) gassed inside. As luck would have it, several survivors wake up with amnesia, but apparently have enough of their memory to remember a lot of convenient things like what they are fighting, what happens when they are bitten, their fighting skills, and all sorts of other wacky shit. In fact, I think the ONLY thing those people lost in their amnesia was the ability to act. The acting in this film was BEYOND terrible. At least with porn stars, they KNOW their acting is god awful (or at least I hope they know), but these people actually believe they are making an awesome film (see the making of, or don't actually). Also, the "monsters" are the worst excuses I've ever seen. The make-up effects are fucking terrible. The only redeeming qualities of this film is a slightly engaging final act, and one shot of a chick popping out her big titties (albeit briefly). Otherwise, this is a movie to fucking avoid!
(mx) wrote: Nick Lyon did a great job writing and directing this film. It's a modern, portland-punk take on Romeo & Juliet. The cinematography is gorgeous and Chad Lindberg's performance is Oscar-worthy.
(it) wrote: pretty good indie Romantic Comedy...all the characters fit just right...Quirky Frenchman stumbles upon a uptight African dude and saves from a miserable life with a betrothed Wife...

(jp) wrote: Three best friends deal with the death of a fourth by running away, both literally and figuratively. It may be overlong and unevenly paced, but the cinematography is stunning, whilst the three male leads, John Cassavetes, Ben Gazzara and Peter Falk put in powerhouse performances, studies in jokey bragadaccio, confused misogyny and middle-aged anxiety - three men on the verge of a nervous breakdown. A funny, emotional, difficult, thought provoking but ultimately rewarding piece of film-making from the criminally under-appreciated Cassavetes.
(br) wrote: If you can get past the stereotypical manner in which black actors were used in this era, then you might actually like this movie. This movie is not about "modern" zombies, this movie deals with caribbean voodoo style zombies. I believe this was supposed to be a horror comedy, but in all frankness, I found it very difficult to stay mentally invested..the way the main black actor was portrayed seriously distracted me. Marguerite Whitten gave the best performance in the movie as the maid or cook or whatever she was..its a shame the rest of the cast didn't follow her lead.

(ru) wrote: Ben Kingsley's science experiment with alien DNA (explained in a dazzle of two sentences) escapes and terrorizes the male population of Los Angeles with copulation (Oh my!) in this not-too-serious blond creature feature with some A-list talent seriously wasted. C-grade entertainment.
(de) wrote: xXx I do not find intriguing nor very entertaining. Yes, there is some solid action, but the movie is just so mindless and stupid you cannot get into the action to enjoy it. There are some cool moments, and Vin Disel is made for this role, but that's about it.
