Patrick G (br) wrote: When the village runs out of water, the women decide to stop having sexual relations with the men until they fix the pipe that brings water to the village...Eastern European humor. Cute, but not all that funny to me. Three stars.

Courtney T (au) wrote: Ooh, this movie takes place in Kazakhstan aka Borat Country. While I'm slightly interested in seeing the country that Sasha Baron-Coen loves to mock, I'd rather catch up on sleep.

Anneke R (au) wrote: If it is possible that a Robin Williams' movie can be both funny and serious at the same time, this movie is it. The cast is great!! And seeing Robin as the president elect made me imagine what it would be like if he really was the president elect/president. It would definitely be interesting!!

David T (au) wrote: I know that most people hate this film, but I'm one of the few people that enjoy this film and I am defending this movie. I have found 'Joe Dirt' amusing since I was a teenager. The cast and the acting is very well done. I had a bunch of laughs. The film may seem dumb to most people (like I mentioned earlier), but I didn't think it was bad. The chemistry between Brittany Daniels and David Spade is excellent. The supporting cast entertained me and the title character taught me a lesson: life's a garden, dig it! Joe may be an idiot, but that's what makes this film work. Joe's idiotic behavior and just being himself

Robby R (fr) wrote: Very funny and inventive movie starring that unlikely of all movie stars, W.C. Fields - and overweight, drunk old curmudgeon. One of the first movie-within-a-movie movies that is hilariously inventive.

Critic M (mx) wrote: A feel good film with a lovable cast. It was exactly what I expected, plus some added emotional depth. Watch this before considering jumping off a skyscraper, you'll be glad you did.

Rick R (ca) wrote: Waking Ned Devine (1998)Your stereotypical Irish movies to watch during St. Paddy's Day. There's the Quiet Man (1952) and then there's the more modern Waking Ned Devine. From the ballad, The Parting Glass, to the rugged landscapes of the Isle of Man, what a perfect movie about Irish blarney! Written and directed by Kirk Jones and staring a whole town full of interesting characters, the most interesting, being Jackie O'Shea (Ian Bannen) and his more innocent friend, Michael O'Sullivan (David Kelly). When Ned Devine (Jimmy Keogh) dies from the shock of winning the national lottery, Jackie decides to let Michael take on the identity for them to collect the winnings. Ned would have wanted it that way, right?Of course Michael needs to fool the lottery official and all sorts of antics ensue including a naked motorcycle race to Ned's shack. Even Jackie's wife, Annie (Fionnula Flanagan) thinks that this is doomed to fail and that her husband will be going to prison. It's soon getting around town about the scheme.Even with all of the larceny, the movie is a very fun-loving, feel-good movie and comes highly recommended.
