Brad G (it) wrote: Sometimes you can take great pleasure in a bad movie (see Enter The Ninja), and sometimes no joy can be had. Super Fuzz most definitely falls into the unjoyous category. As much as I love Sergio Corbucci & his vast grim landscape of Spaghetti Westerns, I really was just appalled by this grossly dumb cop comedy - it really does make the Police Academy films seem like the highest form of comic entertainment. But this is not the first time I've experienced the pain of Italian Comedy. There's just something that doesn't connect between our two continents. Slide Whistles are not actually funny - in fact, let's just avoid goofy sound effects all together. Sped Up Frame Rate is also not comic gold. And Ernest Borgnine dancing on a balloon is not funny...ok, that might have been genius. VF.

Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires is purely entertaining with schlock horror to it. I was very amused by this Hammer film which was one their last I guess. Too bad Christopher Lee was not in it.
Ricardo V (de) wrote: an inferior ozu piece that really doesn't get off the ground until 45 minutes into the film. i have seen numerous ozu films and understand that his films are slow and carefully paced, but the initial set up of the film takes 45 minutes to get actions into swing (action by ozu's standards) and after that the film is fine, but it's the fact that nearly 45 % of the film involved me waiting for the film to begin that had me disappointed in the film. the actor in the father role in this film was not interesting, it has little to do with the actor because later when i saw 'early autumn' he played a much more playful character, it's that he's very wooden. this film is passable but must go down as a disappointment.
