(au) wrote: awesome movie! Very fun and enjoyable! You grow to like the characters in the movie the longer you watch. Some scenes could have very easily moved over to cheesy but the choice of awesome music made it just right. The direction of the film is also very stylish and almost in the vein of trainspotting.. esp with the drugs and all. anyway, if you love music and drugs. this is the film to watch!

(au) wrote: Ugetsu is such a beautiful film in every way--the haunting story that illustrates the basic working of the Tao in the everyday life of a humble family in feudal Japan, the superb direction and evocative cinematography, the wonderful acting, and the mystical presence of the fantasy realm. In every way, this film has all the best elements of classic Japanese art films.
