Friday Night Lights
A small, turbulent town in Texas obsesses over their high school football team to an unhealthy degree. When the star tailback, Boobie Miles, is seriously injured during the first game of the season, all hope is lost, and the town's dormant social problems begin to flare up. It is left to the inspiring abilities of new coach Gary Gaines to instill in the other team members -- and, by proxy, the town itself -- a sense of self-respect and honor.

(au) wrote: The finale gives you an idea of what season 5 would've been like. Sarah is framed for murder and sentenced to prison, as she is expecting Michael's child. Michael attempts to break Sarah out of the penitentiary, while T-Bag and members of the company in Miami-Dade weigh the plot. Lori Petti is mentionably well-casted for the film, as the female inmate. Some plot elements used in the film's sequence likely represent intended concepts of season 5 and it appeals to the show's style. The final season would have a different color and energy, with relation to the show. This is what the finale expresses, particularly to fans.

(kr) wrote: It neither mocks nor satirizes, it doesn't touch any social issues, and though it is about an election, there are no losers. For all those reasons, there aren't many laughs, either. Political comedy plays against tension, and there just isn't any.
(fr) wrote: Not too many thrills in this thriller. It's downright boring at times. Milla Jovovich has absolutely no sparkle, Samuel L Jackson even looks bored. The editing is pretty good though, as is the score.

(ag) wrote: Like "henry, portrait of a serial killer" its about a serial killer, not the chase after him. Very dense, sad, gore and yet artistic movie. This and Henry made me feel bad. Hahaha. Fantastic achievment in movie making!!
(nl) wrote: I think i have mentioned this in another review at some point that I love when comedic actors change it up for a movie or two and show off their serious side and totally blow me away with their performances. this is one of those times with the very much under rated talent of Michael Keaton. Keaton this time playing a recovering Alcoholic and his fight against the disease. Worth a look!

(it) wrote: No-bullshit action thriller that delivers the adrenaline from start to finish, which is just over 80 minutes. Anyone having a nonsense prejudice against European/French cinema as unapproachable or pretentious has got to watch this film. And anyone looking for a fine piece of action cinema, or an alternative to a couple strong cups of coffee, will find it here as well.
