Morgan R (de) wrote: Another Carson McCullers novel. This time directed by John Huston with the screen play by Chapman Mortimer and Gladys Hill. I never read the novel but it must have been very hard to screen write it, direct it and even act in it. All were done exceptionally well and even the secondary roles by Zorro David and Brian Keith were excellent. Most of the credit I give to Huston, but Brando comes in a close second. The film was done in Technicolor but at times you forgot because of Huston's use of the lighting and camera work.
