Doreen P (nl) wrote: Just by watching and listening to the trailer I am very excited about seeing this award winning documentary which educates people about the environmental issues and about the Indiginous people trying to save their land and their people. It also brings awareness of his charity missions of 'The White Feather Foundation." Kudos to Julian Lennon and all those involved with his production, the filming and humanitarian efforts that brings forth the focus of saving people and their unique culture.

Andhika B (us) wrote: surprisingly, i enjoyed this film thoroughly. regardless of its simplicity, this is a perfect example of a modern film noir, with a nice play on color (maybe Kaurismaki want to suggest that, noir doesn't always comes in black. nice man ). and time flies by without me watching the watch. though this film relatively had a short running time, only running in 1 and 10 minutes, but, still..looking forward for next kaurismaki experience !

Mihalis M (kr) wrote: I liked the scenery and the picture of the film. It had some good bits (the legion training and stuff), but not other positive features, aka. characters, story, overall as a movie...

Griffin B (it) wrote: I had no idea they were still making formulaic blaxploitation films.

Allex C (it) wrote: I love this movie. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!! FUCK ALL OF YOU IF YOU DON'T! This movie both makes me laugh and is a staple movie for my sister and I.

Dolph must now spread the glorious teachings of Joseph Stalin through his fists of destruction and kicks of chaos. Dolph knows only two pleasures 1. How to expertly and skillful make love to woman and please every orifice of her body 2. How to tear apart a man from limb to limb and absorb his strength.

peter h (nl) wrote: BATTLE OF BLOOD ISLAND [1960] I'll make this short, this is one weird but typical low-budget World War 2 film with the legendry Roger Corman appearing at this movies end. This film blends a possible thrilling story with a dull delivery; the movie opens on some cheesy low budget of the American Pacific campaign against the Japanese in WW2. After that interesting opening the rest of the film is an utter drag, the Plot involves an American campaign on a small pacific island being crushed by the Japanese forces on the island and only two American marines survive. The two, a wounded Marine called Ken and the other Moe now hide in a cave in the hope they will be saved by their forces. In the meantime Moe fights off any Japanese solider, fishes and has to hear (much like the audience) ken constantly calls out "Moe...Moe... Moe" close to 100 times throughout this film. Overall this is one dull, corny and kind of funny but also annoying and forgettable World War 2 melodrama. Rating for this film is a slim 50%.

Michael A (ca) wrote: This Best Picture winner of 1958 was very colorful and the music and lyrics by Lerner and Lowe are quite beautiful. The plot was rather weak...a french man is bored with life, but finds interest in a girl named Gigi...that's about all this film is. A great duet comes from this musical, "I remember it well" sung by Maurice Chevalier and Hermione Gingold. The film later would later be converted to a stage musical, which flopped on Broadway. I have never seen any group do it, but it would need some spicing up of the plot I'm sure. I give this movie a B-.

Atheer O (ru) wrote: Unlikely for a sport movie to start at the low point of an athlete but this one was more of psychological analysis (much like what Aronofsky did with Black Swan) than a sport movie. The movie definitely had its heart in the right place but not the right locations (Strip club and wrestling arena). I'm not a fan of wrestling and wasn't comfortable to watch what happened there.
