Jens T (us) wrote: Francois Ozon's Potiche is set in the 1970s where the troubled old housewife, Suzanne (Catherine Deneuve) is filling in her husband, Robert's (Fabrice Luchini) as the CEO to an umbrella factory, while he is sick because of overworking. The factory workers are not pleased with his management, and is on strike. But that changes when his wife steps in and introduces new reforms, which makes her popular. So when her husband is fully recovered she has get use to the job, and will not give it away that easily. This movie is kind of an sequel to The Umbrellas of Cherbourg in that way that it follows an unhappy married couple, and also a former lover is involved. But this film is actually a comedy, about the 70s feminist movement. And of course Deneuve is wonderful, and so are the cast, the only problem I see here is that there are to few obstacle that the film begins to drag and becomes boring. But besides that it's a film with great characters. Thumbs up.

Johnny T (fr) wrote: You want gore, you get gore. Hatchet II plays less like a slasher movie than like the highlight reel from a slasher movie. This time out, Green is not as self-aware, devoting a solid hour of his film's 90-minute running time to pre-mayhem character development so witless and dull that Hatchet II might as well be "Friday the 13th, Part 14."Every boogeyman and slasher clich this movie borrows was better somewhere else. Although it probably wasn't grosser. This is basically an excuse to watch skulls crushed like melons, guts ripped from body cavities and torsos halved. And such things go on with relentless and disgusting regularity. We don't care about any of the characters. They're just video game obstacles to be dispatched as graphically as possible. The movie is never as cheeky or as fun as Green thinks it is, but he tries with all his might. The sequel suffers from lamentable acting, murky cinematography and, for the most part, lamely unfunny dialogue.VERDICT: "Not So Hot" - [Negative Reaction] These films are truly terrible films. They are not the worst things ever made, but they are definitely awful and should not be seen by anyone. (Films that are rated 1.5 or 2 stars)

Sameer K (gb) wrote: Truly great movie that never stumbles. Not many films can say that they never once stumble. My only criticism is that the film feels a little slight. But beyond that: wonderful.
