Daniele R (jp) wrote: A passionate film about love, freedom and the pressure of social norms. It shows in a heart-felt manner how difficult it is to pursue one's freedom and to be faithful to one's true self. Skillfully acted by Suzanne Clment and Melvil Poupaud. As usual in Dolan's films, music perfectly conveys the moods of the various turning points and never fails to match visually powerful scenes. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a deep, beautiful and bold movie.

Lovro H (kr) wrote: I found Malice through a video which listed some of the best movies with plot twists and decided to give it a go once I found the retail copy in a nearby shop. The story follows a married couple, Andy and Tracy, who rent out a place on top of their house to a doctor who Andy knows from high school. There's also a serial killer/rapist on the loose killing girls from the town high school. Shortly, we learn that Tracy has health problems and one night she undergoes a surgery, performed by the doctor who's living in their house, Jed. The surgery leaves her not having an ability to have children so she sues the doctor and things take unexpected turns the closer we get to the end. Now, this movie does offer quite an interesting plot, but some of the things feel a bit too rushed and not very logical. Some of the plot twists were a bit too much unbelievable, but it was all very entertaining and intense. The characters are well developed and unpredictable. I do think the serial killer could've used some backstory, because he really didn't get enough screen time, it felt very rushed. Jed and Tracy are very interesting characters and the last 30-40 minutes are really mostly about them, it was very interesting to find out who they exactly are/aren't. The direction was good, I didn't notice any mistakes. The soundtrack was fitting for this kind of a thriller. The acting was great, especially loved Nicole Kidman and Bill Pullman. Plot twists in this movie are quite surprising and I'm sure you wouldn't be able to guess them, but they're not all very logical. All in all, a great thriller with great performances, interesting, yet illogical plot twists and an intense, albeit rushed plot. I'd recommend this movie if you enjoy plot twists and thriller movies overall.

The opening sequence was brilliant, i loved the music. So everything started off really well. I wasn't sure about Renato at first but as the interactions between him and Albin continued i really warmed to them both, plus they have such great style! I also LOVED the humor in this, it was sort of dry - a little zany. Just right. It was a little surreal too, i haven't seen so many drag queens in one movie before, but i really enjoyed the nightclub. I can't tell you how excited i am to have seen this, it got to 30 minutes and it felt like it had been on a lot longer but it wasn't like i was bored or i was getting restless. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It surprises me that it was one of few in the best films of the 70s book, not because it is bad, but because it's just so random in contrast to the normal picks for the 70s. Anyway - I LOVED La Cage Aux Folles - i can't wait to buy it and watch it multiple times.

Erik D (ru) wrote: Great adaptation of the play, keeping the best of its theater ancestory while expanding into the many possibilities the screen offers for a further dimension.

Brad S (nl) wrote: Beautifully subtle but powerful filmmaking. Incredible performances from the entire cast. I longed for more memories with Kai just like Richard and Junn.

Brian B (es) wrote: The 2nd best Schwarzenegger film I've seen since Terminator 2. The acting and action are epic.

Garret I (au) wrote: Balls to the walls is not accurate enough to describe how this limb crushing, Face destroying, and all around gory film that this is. It is an hour and a half of pure and extreme violence. The story is kind of awful, but everything from the soundtrack to the way that it looks to the classic one liners spouted from Agent Paul Budianski makes this a thrill to watch from beginning to end.
