(es) wrote: I just saw this movie and it wasn't bad as i thought it was going to be..The plot of the story evolves to 'PICASSO" a serial killer who is taking advantage of blackouts in the city to carve up his victims... story also makes a half-assed attempt to explain why the Police radios won't work during a blackout, and why the buildings phones won't work, but it never really mentions why no one has a mobile. It also doesn't explain why the Picasso killer is trying to create his own Mona Lisa.... something doesn't add up there...In my overall opinion it gets points for effort and it will keep you occupied somehow while watching...

(ru) wrote: how do these overpaid critics give a decent movie a bad review? this is one of many reasons I hate Hollywood overpaid and blind. this is a decent movie and still stands up today as it did back in '98

(ru) wrote: One of Wood's most entertaining films, filled with awful comedy, cheesy effects, bad acting and a script that bounces around from one perspective to another and is filled with heavy-handed dialog. Still, it's a lot of fun, and Wood sure knew how to come up with fun ideas for stories, even if their execution never matched his imagination. Night of the Ghouls does contain one very effectively creepy scene involving Duke Moore investigating what he thinks is a embalmed corpse. It's brief but it's creepy in a delightful way. The rest of the film is pure Ed Wood fun.
