AW C (kr) wrote: I assume Malick wanted this project to be a deep, introspective/existential commentary on love and religion(?). But it's far too insipid to stand on its own.

Paolo R (es) wrote: Argentinian crime and corruption movie with the wonderfully hard-boiled Ricardo Darin... who effortlessly steals attention from other actors... This one really breaks every hope of their being a salvation for those living morally ambiguous lives. The violence is brutal, the narrative neat, the characterisation solid (though with a couple of unconvincing twists). The director shows a decent flourish, none more so than in the final 15 minutes.

Bambino C (jp) wrote: This movie will break your heart, bring you a world of joy and fear as well as true laughter all in one breath. Fantastic performances, Forest Whitaker is beautifully blunt.

Logan M (mx) wrote: Connected to the 1960s and 70s franchise only by its title, "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" brings an entirely new dynamic than the one present in the Charlton Heston film, while also promising an exciting franchise of its own.

Leesa M (ca) wrote: I wanted so badly to love this movie. Between it being in the gangster genre and the absolutely stellar cast, I thought I'd have to love it. The acting wasn't a problem here. They were all played extremely well and thats the reason I finished the movie. with a cast like that, you can't turn it off. However, the storyline just fell short. It starts off well, where you think there's a high hope it's going to be a great mobster movie, but it ends up taking you in circles and then falling flat on its face at the very end. Literally, the entire story is repetitive ans the ending is the last thing I'd ever have wanted. The Johnny Quid character was truly one of those characters you just can't stand. He pretty much ruined it for me.

Andy S (kr) wrote: Great, simple idea for a Documentary, just maybe not feature length material. After about 40 minutes it really just drags and becomes a struggle to finish. YEA.. I get it.. there is HElvetica Fonts all around us..got it within the first 20 minutes, yet the film continues showing these long montages of endless Helvetica everywhere. STOP!!

Tameka T (es) wrote: loved this movie, great story line, I dont know what drew me 2 it but what eva it was made a good decision

Gustav M (de) wrote: very disappointing film, i was hoping for something really entertaining, but alas, stupidity and low-budget laughter, with a topping of highly unlikely events once again struck australian comedy. And to anyone who reads this, this film was made in and at the end of my street! this is why i was so excited about it, and i saw some of the filming in progress, so i was really hoping for something good, but i was disappointed. Vince Colosimo is better than this.

James L (us) wrote: A gripping art house chiller that will stay with you long after it has finished. It's very rare to find a film that is both thrilling and explores the existential. The only way the film could have been improved would have been to add noir-esque photography to a film that has many film noir themes. However, that is just nit-picking. This is a must watch film that culminates with the most heart breaking of endings.

Minna S (ru) wrote: Socially realistic story of an ex con and his estranged son coming together again. Alright, not too impressive.

Ashlee C (de) wrote: Hahaha! Oh lord. Great film even though I think it's the oddest thing ever made which is probably why it did well. Its great to see that others have seen it.

Gregory W (ag) wrote: interesting choice 4 director truffaut is based on a true story that many of us are familiar with about a boy raised by animals living in the wild who is found and brought back 2 civilazation.

Connor D (es) wrote: Very powerful and very moving, "Brokeback Mountain" is a tragic love story with powerful performances by the all star cast. 7.4/10

Keith L (ca) wrote: Though it has a great line-up of actors, the story is brittle, carrying too many layers. Add a questionable ending and you've got a promising story that fails to deliver.
