When unassuming Tanner is outted, he finds himself cast as the hottest new teen-girl accessory: The Gay Best Friend. (jp) wrote: Less awful, but still pretty bad, Curse of the Puppet Master is a mess of a film, but compared to future entries, it's not as bad. Still the film is yet another poorly done sequel of which the potential completely wasted on-screen. I don't even know why they filmed a sequel to the alleged final chapter of the series, of which only the first film was good. This is a lazy film with a boring plot, poor acting and poor directing. This film should never have been made in the first place because afterwards, all the sequels in the Puppet Master series took a hefty nose dive and become even worst by each entry. Of the first sequels to be made after the final chapter, this film is pretty poor, but at least isn't as bad as many others that came after it. This film just shows that the series was truly taking a turn for the worst. Although not a bad film compared to others, this sequel still isn't one that I would recommend that you check out. I really hated this one, and it just goes to show that when a series supposedly ends, they'll four other sequels that are made just for the sake of keeping the series going, and it doesn't even matter if the film are good. Well, this series should have ended with the fifth, but never did. An awful film that lacks any style, creativity and a good plot make the Curse of the Puppet Master a horrible film, and a small taste of other even more horrible sequels.

Be sure to watch this movie because it gives a understanding of the global cultures and roots of Imperialism.

(es) wrote: This "movie" is an abomination and an insult to both intelligent moviegoers and to Robert Heinlein's legacy. This "movie" bears only a passing resemblance to Heinlein's epic novel of the same title and the most amazing part is that more than one person looked at the script, the actors, and the special effects and said "yes, this will be a good movie and we should make it." The producers (I hope) have all gone bankrupt and learned their lesson. Paul Verhoven is apparently unrepentant and should probably be tried in an international court for fraud, crimes against art, and assaulting the good taste of moviegoers. Meanwhile, Heinlein is rolling over in his grave. I wish I could give this movie negative stars and also get that hour of my life back (I couldn't finish watching it).

(br) wrote: Deadpool promises an R-rated experience and it lives up to it. It's funny with a slightly wider range in humor compared to a lot of comedic films. The action is slick and gruesome although can be underwhelming at times. The pacing is a little odd as it jumps to and from the past but without a balance of now vs. then. The story is straightforward and perhaps a little too straightforward and the overall artistic style doesn't take advantage of the character's gratuitous fourth-wall-breaking. However, it does sport a fun character and passes as a decent action flick with humor and bullets to spare.
