Harry W (au) wrote: Indecent Proposal produced a moral dilemma upon its original release in 1993 which people must have been too stupid to answer for themselves and flocked to cinemas to have it answered. There was no answer, but rather an utterly predictable soppy romantic drama story with terrible screenwriting and extremely sexist undertones.Indecent Proposal has a terrible script that squanders the potentially interesting plot on yuppie and detectable plot dynamics and other stupidity. The one thing barely saving the film is the acting, since they even screwed up film editing and cinematography in this film, as well as weak dramatization.Although occassionally overacting or under acting and getting stuck with the worst lines, Demi Moore manages to pull a decent oerformance off and be sexy the whole timeWoody Harrelson was good as well, despite being struck with a weak character he passes for being good. The chemistry between these to characters is also very good.Robert Redford is a shifty character which he played half-decently, 'nuff said. Indecent Proposal is sexist due to its repeated suggestions that a woman is reliant on a man to make decisions and that he is somehow owned by here and buyable like an item in a store. That's the worst part, the sexism. Boo.

Aaron G (mx) wrote: Cheesy? Yes. A bit melodramatic? Definitely. But it's fun, entertaining, and has a lot of great characters and one-liners. 30 years later, I still regularly say, "There are kingly virtues other than bravery; courtesy is one of them." Krull has a compelling story, some fine acting (including Liam Neeson in a "before-anyone-had-ever-heard-of-him" role), and one of the coolest weapons in cinematic history.
