(jp) wrote: Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price is an intriguing look into what really happens behind the scenes at Wal-Mart. Though the cinematography is not stellar, it presents the personal experiences of small business owners and former Wal-Mart employees backed by a flood of raw statistics to effectively show the blatant inhumanity of Wal-Marts' system. This movie will give you a guilt trip every time you shop at the world's largest general retailer.

(kr) wrote: Sweet movie. I usually like romantics from the 90's (00's) so this one was very good.

(it) wrote: Awesome movie. Again Kilmer is outstanding as Doc! The accent with lines such as " I'm you huckleberry" made him center stage.

(de) wrote: Los Olvidados is far from a great movie as the technical aspects are rather mediocre and Bunuel's direction is troublesome as his inclusion of surrealist scenes was entirely unnecessary for this movie, but this is still an important and very realistic crime film with an engaging, well crafted plot, realistic characters, good acting and such a tragic ending.

(ag) wrote: A guilty pleasure! What's not to like, beautiful location, beautiful people, plausible scenario, and wonderfully fun soundtrack. Has one of the best life lesson lines in it, (roughly) "Jealousy doesn't show how much you love someone, it shows how insecure you are."
(ca) wrote: Awesome 80's revenge flick, though it's weird calling it 80's because it definitely feels 70's. Very gritty and slow and gripping. Mostly shot in Brooklyn. Really awesome locations. And the cinematography is very good for the most part. If you like Death Wish you've gotta see this. And if you like Fred Williamson and Robert Forester from Tarantino stuff (From Dusk til Dawn and Jackie Brown, respectively) definitely check them out here. They kick ass.
