This is an episode of Galileo in name only, since this story focuses exclusively on Utsumi Koaru, played by Shibasaki Kou. The eccentric scientist makes a cameo appearance in one scene and the final scene is on the same day as episode one of the second series, but apart from that this drama has little to do with the rest of the Galileo canon. . Also am I the only one who finds Count Orlock creepier in the original when he doesn't talk, Willem Dafoe gets the movements of Max Shrek down perfectly but the creepiness goes away whenever the character speaks.

Liam C (ru) wrote: Wow. This film was something else. While it may not seem like an originally new story at first it turns into something very complex, smart and most of all, compelling. A film with plenty of twists and turns that don't seem cheap or silly. Characters with depth, some characters change and some learn new things. Every actor turned in a solid performance. Everything else was good also, music, script, lighting and cinematography. Everything about the film is very compelling and just a well made western. Just, nobody saw it.
