Superb drama. Not 100% historically accurate but it really does the job. Robert Carlyle is stunning, and the rest of the cast is top notch. A tremendous account of Hitler's rise to power

As much a political allegory as it is horror , Boyle has managed to inject a sense of pulse and rage to a genre that was starting to feel as stagnant as the zombies it depicted

izard Rating: 44. But with an unappealing cast with an even more unappealing lead I can't recommend this film to even the biggest American Pie fans. The only saving grace of this movie is that it takes place in 1993, which provides for a great soundtrack. It's unfunny and the dialogue is painfully bad. Bill Hader can't even save this film. These friends just all end up forgiving her without actually discussing their individual issues with her actions. She hurts those closest to her on several occasions and ignores the reasons why after they each confront her. Throughout her "journey" Brandy learns next-to-nothing. No one is nice to each other and everyone is too self-righteous to learn any type of lesson. The To Do List is insensitive and so is everyone in it. She then compiles a list of experiences she wants to have to better prepare herself for her rendezvous with this guy. She throws all her morals out the window when she sees a guy that she wishes to sleep with. Plaza plays Brandy, a goodie-two-shoes high school graduate who is constantly made fun of for being a virgin. And even in a film with this level of flippancy you need that genuineness in order to care about the character. Her most sincere lines were delivered with such awkwardness and feigner. I gave her a chance with The To Do List, but less than 5 minutes into the movie I not only thought she was unfunny, but I also realized that she can't act. Aubrey Plaza may have a unique comedic style, but it's not one that I particularly like

So in the end, Vengeance Valley presents nothing special to the western genre, but it gives a kickstart to Burt Lancaster who is clearly good for the role. No doubt Vengeance Valley was low budget. It also failed to supply a sufficient amount of continuous action scenes which are stereotypical in the genre and is fairly disapponting due to that. It doesen't feature much creativity and is rather simplistic, and the fight sequences feature qualities that may have been decent back in 1951, but are laughable by today's standards. It features a plotline thats too simple to even bother following and is paced incredibly slowly. However, it's nothing special to the genre. It also ended on a good dramatic note and had the ideal soundtrack to set the atmosphere. Vengeance Valley also had some good shootout sequences. It features a good performance from Burt Lancaster in his first western role, proving that he's a good actor for the genre. Vengeance Valley has a classical western feel to it supplied by it's costume & setting, dramatic themes, stereotypical action and ideal acting

This movie wasn't terrible but cheesy at times and even almost b movie at times while at other time a good movie, worth a watch though. The main con man is put in custody of his mentally handicapped son during this final plan. Con artist who rip the Vegas and Atlantic City decide to call it quits but plan one last final dangerous job at the craps table

fantastic set design seems to have inspired both wes anderson and terry gilliam. ' the film uses very little sync sound, but when it does, it is often essentially a musical, with the characters either bursting out in the theme song, or expressing their desires through song. chaplin uses many of the same themes and factory setpieces in 'modern times. a fun early talkie that owes a lot to charlie chaplin - if not the other way around

In actual content this movie should have been a short film. my one major critique is that there were way too many montages. simple and funny. Ping Pong Playa is enjoyable enough

I wish I had never seen this movie. The movie ends with all 3 characters dancing in a cafe' as if they haven't a care in the world. In the real world, they probably would have been held by security and arrested, but they manage to leave the hotel and try to get hold of Nick's friend, presumably so he can bail them out. Their credit card runs past its limit and they are evicted from the room by the hotel, who holds their passports until such time as they pay for the damages, but Meg stalks out, indignant that someone should demand that she pay. By the end of the movie, Meg and Nick have also charged a lot of clothing, and Nick has been vandalizing the suite by gluing things to the wall. OK, I'll be honest, I literally HATED this character and wished that Nick would have gone home on the train, packed his bags and left to find love elsewhere. I found it sickening and unnecessary to see her taunting him, yet getting up on her high horse when he accused her of having an affair. She teased him twice and rejected him over and over again, even when he humiliated himself and begged. What I found most troubling and simply awful about this movie was the way the Meg character treated her starved-for-sex husband. I think they paid for their first meal, but they eat at a fancy seafood restaurant and then do a runner on the check, like the low-lifes they are. After drinking champagne on the balcony, this pathetic pair go wandering the streets of Paris looking for restaurants to scam. Does she know that moving anything inside the fridge results in a charge? If so, she doesn't seem troubled. Unfortunately for the viewer, a suite is somehow freed up and offered to the forlorn couple, and instead of asking what it will cost, they throw a credit card at the front desk and tramp up the stairs to the huge and obviously expensive suite, where the bitch-woman immediately starts rummaging through the mini-fridge. She sees a hotel that she likes the look of and exits the cab as if she is a queen of some unknown country, only to find out that, surprise! there are no rooms available in the hotel! And people wonder why Parisians dread English tourists! An American would know better than doing this. She then pays the cabbie most, if not all, of their cash, to go on an impulsive and expensive tour of central Paris. The first action she takes is to walk out of the hotel they've reserved and hail a cab, not even waiting for her husband to join her. The man is passive, pathetic, and desperate for sex with his wife, who is a loathsome bitch to him. Two pathetic English people, who are celebrating 30 years of marriage, decide to take the Eurostar to Paris. A hideous film that I should have stopped after the first absurd scene

/10. Budget: $25millionWorldwide Gross: $15millionI recommend this movie to people who are into there dramas about a couple of scholars who are looking for the missing pages of a Victorian poet and his lover. Judging by the gross of the movie, it was well received by audiences which is a shame because I have seen worse. The Victorian scenes were also portrayed well but once you know the whole plot, it's not the type of movie that you will be watching again in a hurry. The chemistry between the 2 characters was believable and I was impressed with Paltrows English accent. Watchable!Round-Up:Aaron Eckhart and Gwyenth Paltrow was a great choice for this movie because they seem to pull out emotional performances with ease. The love story between the 2 historians was a bit corny, but it's a watchable movie which stays interesting throughout. Basically, it's a tamer version of National Treasure, without the action. I found the storyline interesting and quite touching because the 2 lovers found themselves in an impossible situation but they couldn't stop feeling for each other. The storyline goes back and forth in time which makes the movie easy to follow because every is explained with real actions in Victorian times. Review:I quite enjoyed this intense drama about about 2 scholars who are looking for the missing pages between 2 secret lovers, which are worth quite a lot of money
