Ben T (ca) wrote: An extremely fun Muppets movie that has all of your favorite muppets as characters from the classic book, which is a great idea. It worked with the Christmas Carol and now it works hear. The music is good, the human cast is good, and the film has an all around great sense of adventure. It's a must see for fans of the muppets and of great family adventure films.
David Klein (mx) wrote: A boring and predictable movie laced with bad acting throughout. There is a reason most people have never heard of this movie.

Jonathan P (es) wrote: From the director of Training Day comes another cop tale that is just as raw and gritty but not nearly as well directed or written. Where Antoine Fuqua excelled with Training Day, Brooklyn's Finest fails. The story is a jumble dealing with multiple stories of a good undercover cop, a corrupt cop, and a retiring cop who has lost his passion for the job. While strong acting abounds (especially from Wesley Snipes as a Gang leader) Fuqua is unable to mesh the three stories into a coherent and engaging film. While cop film cliches abound Brooklyn's Finest is still a decent film for fans of the genre.

Carlos M (jp) wrote: Why this movie won so many Oscars is something that escapes me, given its annoying and poorly-paced narrative that forces us to endure an unbearable old lady and feels tremendously episodic trying to span 25 years with skips in time that are never fluid.

Mike L (jp) wrote: A movie known more for its leg-warmers than anything else. There is no story and is nothing more than a reason to show Curtis and Henner in spandex.
Orlando D (gb) wrote: Mother's Day is probably one of the criminally underrated low budget slasher/revenge movies of the 80's. In this film a trio of girls who graduated years before reunite for a camping trip. What is suppose to be a fun time for them turns out to be a nightmare when they are captured, beaten and raped by two brothers as they follow orders from their deranged mother. When one of the girls dies, the other two pool their resources and get revenge. If you can forgive the movie's bad acting, continunity errors and the Carrie/Friday the 13th shock ending, Mother's Day works as an intense horror film that infuses dark comedy and the film works despite itself.
