Scott M (kr) wrote: i expected it to be badly filmed so that prepared me for it. couple funny scenes but the cheese oozes out of this lol. the acting is horrendous lol.

Sylvester K (fr) wrote: Plot is ridiculous, the victims are not developed, too many goofs.

Pehpsii A (ca) wrote: Kristen Stewart does such an amazing job in this film. And her chemistry with James Gandolfini feels very genuine.

Michael S (kr) wrote: Noel c is amazing brilliant actor and writer

Jimmy S (br) wrote: Really well done.Something that needed to be told. One of the best aussie films to date.

Troy K (es) wrote: 4/5 Pretty amazing, although it is slow at times and falters towards the end. Will have to check out the mini-series.

Sara G (nl) wrote: i love how it portrayed the close relationships we don't have here in america. (sometimes too close) the small details seemed right, but overall the story seems disjointed. the characters seemed realistic, the ending felt short.....

Michael T (ru) wrote: Algeria's War for Liberation echoes in the lives of French teenagers. A masterfully told tale with a cast whose performances reveal a talent beyond their years.

Stella D (it) wrote: i haven't seen a bad boetticher/scott western. this one has a light hearted tone that put me off at first but found myself enjoying quite a bit. this plot description is a bit off: buchanan rides alone through california, en route to his home in texas, passing through a town run by the crooked agry brothers, which he has all kinds of trouble leaving

lucy l (es) wrote: With a great cast including Ramond Massey in a convincing portrayal as the pre civil war abolisionist John Brown , directed by Michael Curtiz of Casablanca Fame, this is a well paced and handsomely produced Warner Bros movie, Errol Flynn is at his best here, along with love interest Olivia DeHaviland shining and a young Ronald Reagan as well in a amicable role as young Custer both vying for her hand, it is quite an engaging if at time historicaly inacurate film but the solid acting and honest portrayal of the raid upon Harpers Ferry, make up for that minor quibble. Van Heflin is also memorable as the "traitor" who left West Point to join John Brown, in what he turns into a not entirely unsympathetic role... a solid 7 out of 10.and well worth a renting on DVD!

bill s (de) wrote: Good try but the horror here is in the film making
