Matt C (nl) wrote: More a historical document than a documentary this is still required viewing for any Hip Hop fan. Ice T has basically sat down with everyone he loves in the genre and asked them to talk about rapping, display one of their own raps and also bust out a classic which influenced them. There is nothing more to this film, but if you're a fan of the art form you don't really need anything else.

It's subtle and captures real emotions about love that we can identify with because we've all been there. The music is enchanting. In short, the film is like a rare bird you didn't expect to see, but were so grateful to catch a glimpse of.

Days later I read a review on the movie and for the most part I agree with the reviewer. He says: " Unlike other thrillers, which will set you up for one major turning point, Stutz repeats the suspense to reveal several times creating a compounded mystery feel throughout the film. Every time you think the main characters Billy and Sarah are out of the water or closer to their pay off, some shift keeps the story going and the audience on their toes"

Jon C (es) wrote: I saw the trailer for this back when I was very little and it was pretty exciting although the movie is so much different when you actually watch italso since this isn't a direct sequel to the last movie, it's like the filmmakers completely ignored what happened previously but if there's one thing that this movie has going for it it's Julian Sands; he still owns it playing this charming yet sadistic villainthis time he is reborn in a very grotesque way and is tasked with tracking down the stones of power to bring his master to our worldthe way he picks off each victim is relentless but in all honesty since you don't know any of them it makes it look like just a bunch of random kills that have no connection whatsoeverthe other plot involves two youths in love finding out they are warriors destined to stop the Warlock and his master's reign of the Earththey're ok although it's really weird they live in a town that fears the unknown and their parents kept this secret from them for so longthe romance aspect is ok, the effects are amped up but they do look very dated, and not once is this movie scaryagain though Sands as the Warlock steals this movie every chance he getsI think he may be along the lines of Wishmaster, you just have so much fun with him but at the same time he is still the main antagonistthe score is very beautiful I'll give them thatthe first movie was pretty fun, my advice is don't go into this one expecting to be mesmerized since it is NOT a direct continuationterrific makeup effects and prosthetics, too

Braden R (au) wrote: A great movie/story. No action, but a great deal of thinking and surprises! It reminded me of sitting around with family/friends, when a sudden turn in the conversation leads to a life changing moment, and nothing is the same ever again!
