Will Forte plays this goofball Macgyver like character brilliantly and made me laugh hardily. With nods to the classics like Rambo and other cheesy action hero movies. Watch it don't go by the lame people who don't get it and you'll be pleased.
(br) wrote: Pretty damn good movie overall. As with a lot of movies it drags a bit in the middle but it's got a solid story of a man trying to redeem himself and turn over a new leaf, great performance from Stellan and some very funny moments (with probably some of the funniest sex scenes I've ever seen). I'd recommend it, it's a very good movie with some flaws.

I loved this when I was little but after looking at it again 17 years later I can understand why some people didn't really think much about this film. Storyline was a bit bland and I think this was one of Alec Baldwin's low point films because he didn't take the role very seriously and his acting was awful. One scene had him talking to a Baseball Bat and a Beach Ball which was not even needed and completely random. Could have been a whole lot better but even adding acting legend Peter Fonda couldn't bring this film to a box office hit by any means.

Although they're other films that have similar plots such as this one, and as an older b/w film, this one has a great build up, no gullible characters but does consist of some predictability with the good guys winning at the end! Robert Ryan also stars! 3 out of 4
