Bengel W (br) wrote: The perfect American family comes to the screen yet again with tears and sadness. The brain dead lead is hilarious in his stupidity and brings a quirky style as do the other characters in the movie. Actors give a strong performance creating a very obscure manner and a rather surreal film. Lisa proves her acting worth. Nibbles: Lollipops.

A lot of the material in this documentary is covered in Dawkins' book "The God Delusion", only in much more detail. For someone who needs a starting point though, this documentary serves that purpose wonderfully.

The cast, especially the two leads, give wonderful and realistic performances that succeed in bringing you into the story with them. The characters all make sense, and together their conflicting views and experiences bring this film to a crushing climax of mutual misunderstanding that is so honest and awesome to behold. I hope Timothy Hutton gives directing another try, because he shows some real potential here.
