Biggest culprits are the ladies though. Michelle Pfeiffer hasn't a clue how to do comedy and Lee Grant is just mugging, mugging, mugging. Ustinov as Chan couldve been great, but the script really just defeats him.

A bit of a sequel to Most Dangerous Game, but fails like most 70s horror - should I keep digging further in this era or just plain give up? A good 1970s horror film is hard to come by for me - maybe its the film stock that was typically used that bothers me so, but damn this era for churning out so much crap.

(fr) wrote: Apparently, Marlon Brando made this movie for free, because of some dispute with the studio. It's not his best work. However, I saw it for the first time when I was about 12 and it made an incredible impression on me. The beauty of Jean Simmons and the overwhelming romance really affected me. I've seen it a couple of times again as an adult and it's still a real heartjerker.
