Thomas W (ca) wrote: Grace Unplugged is a formulaic and rather generic story of a teenager who has grown bored of her day-to-day routine while living under the roof/rules of a father who means well but sure has a funny way of showing it. Grace (AJ Michalka - Super 8) is the daughter of church music director Johnny Trey (James Denton - 'Desperate Housewives') who was once a rock-n-roll, one-hit-wonder superstar. When Johnny is asked by a Hollywood music producer to re-record his most famous song and return to stage on a national tour ... he declines but his daughter is ever-so-keen to give it a try! Ignoring her father's wishes, Grace runs off to Los Angeles where she records her father's hit song and becomes a minor celebrity opening the doors to all kinds of temptations! Grace's dreams are all coming true but she begins to realize she might not be living the life Christ wants for her ... and Grace finds herself tested like never before. Everything in this film feels expected including the stereotypical supporting players, Grace's trials with alcohol and her should-I-or-shouldn't-I moral struggle. The lead players are adequate actors but some of the others are pretty poor. You don't have to watch this to know what happens ... so why would anybody want to?

Phani T (gb) wrote: An average sci-fi, so to say... Just because we can't change the past, looks like this movie chose the easier route of changing the future.... oh... but it does end up altering the past - ridiculously.Skip it.

Andy F (ca) wrote: Knockabout Disney comedy that I first saw almost 40 years ago. A who's who of British comedy talent the likes of which we'll never see again. A bit like a Carry On movie without the rude jokes. Great fun.

Anna B (it) wrote: His colour films seem to be much more interesting. You can kind of ignore the flimsy plots and unscintillating pacing and just marvel at the photography. I kept thinking I was losing interest and then he'd dazzle me again with another amazing shot.

Benjamin S (es) wrote: Enjoyed Disney Live-Action film with adorable Haley Mills as a daughter thrust into moving to the countryside living the rustic life! Wonderful songs by the Sherman Brothers and lovely performances all around in particular Burl Ives as Mr. Popham, Una Merkle as Mrs. Popham and Dorothy McGuire as Mrs. Carey. Doesn't really have much of a plot to speak of, but overall it's a charming family film! Best songs are "Ugly Bug Ball" and "Summer Magic".

Gemma M (ag) wrote: Now You See Me offer a magical adventure for the audience to be taken on as four magicians are brought together to conduct some amazing feats of magic while the FBI are hot on their tails. With a brilliant cast, lovable characters, a great plot not to mention a few unlikely twists along the way, this is a film definitely worth watching.
