All three films are slightly above average, but they're great escapes for the average horror buff. This third installment is a bit funnier and bloodier than the last two. I'm against the grain when I call this my favorite of the trilogy. If you were marginally entertained by the first two - then you don't need me to tell you to check this out.

(au) wrote: With a talented cast, however with a poor script, without funny and no sense jokes, predictable and with an unoriginal story. It is so possible that this movie interest somebody like it's possible a chicken has teeth.

(ca) wrote: This film about escape and survival during WW2 is beautifully filmed and comes with an impressing cast. The problem is that it consists only of people walking. That's never boring, but really slow. Even though the gorgeous landscapes change and there are interesting problems between freezing and starving to solve, not all that much happens. It's most certainly an intentional decision by the filmmakers to make the audience feel as exhausted and worn out as the protagonists by the end of the film. But even with the long running time the ending comes somewhat from out of nowhere. Still, worth seeing for the impressive landscapes alone.

(ru) wrote: This movie gets a whole star and a half for having Jessica Chastain (my biggest celeb crush) in it. Otherwise, this movie is of 1 star quality. It is basically a cliche ridden, made for TV movie with a dichotomy of talent. Chastain does a great job (maybe I'm biased) and Palminteri is great. Denise Richards is horrible. For example, there's a scene where she finds her estranged husband in a tattoo shop. Her anger is portrayed by a sequence involving two slaps to his face which is then followed by her pounding on his chest. It seemed so awkward and unnatural, which literally made me laugh out loud.
