gautam s (br) wrote: I guess the most obvious thing to say about the movie is that it keeps reminding you that its unnecessarily long. There are too many scenes which one feels could have been left out completely. The cast did their best but they did not look like their roles were very well defined. All in all its a good education on the life and trials of Milkha Singh but fails to rise above a biography feel.

Minnie Driver is masterful with her Welsh accent and her enthusiasm. Despite little experience the musical numbers are extraordinary. Worth a watch on a cold and rainy winter's day.

If my client is innocent, she's lying, why? Was it blackmail? No. Was it jealousy? No. Yesterday I found out why. She doesn't have a motive, you know why? Because she's not lying... And ladies and gentlemen of the jury, the prosecution is not going to get that man today, no, because I'm gonna get him! my client, the Honorable Henry T. Fleming, should go right to fucking jail! The son of a bitch is guilty!" - Arthur Kirkland.
