Anyway, the plot seemed promising if nonsensical to say the least. But it was just really boring and stuff, a lot of the beginning of the film was back story and story and it just dragged on, for one of the first times in the series...when all the films are the same length....this one felt drawn out. Out of 1-4 and this (7), this was easily the worst one thus far.

Serena B (ag) wrote: An absolutely fascinating existential war movie, and an incredibly rare early anti-war diatribe. Nicholas Ray, the lesser-known enfant terrible of Hollywood, crafts a thought-provoking (this movie's more THE THIN RED LINE than SAVING PRIVATE RYAN) study of masculine identity, the effects of war and the human condition. Don't let the bad poster or the bland Movie Info synopsis fool you; this is a thinking-man's war flick.

Jose M (kr) wrote: Revolt of the Zombie is one of the most boring zombie films I have ever seen. There is barely any action throughout the film and the script is really slow. It is also very cheap because the film takes place in Cambodia, but you can clearly see the ??landscape?? is nothing more than an oversized photograph. The film??s only interesting value is actor Roy D??Arcy as an evil, scheming colonel. You will know, if you ever brave it, it is him because wears all black. The rest of this film is dead. You have the King of the Zombies, but there is a Revolt of the Zombies. Zombies lose, so there is there Revenge of the Zombies.

Jason M (es) wrote: I must admit, I was intrigued with the premise of this movie. I wanted it to work. However, it fell flat and far short of expectations. It's the type of film that makes one wonder, "why was this produced?" Was it to provide a device for star Lauren Cohan to branch off her star power from The Walking Dead television series? Was it produced to titillate adolescent boys so that she becomes the next Hollywood sex symbol or popular Maxim girl? Was it to produce a horror film? Was it to produce a teen slasher flick? If it were any of these reasons, they definitely all fell far short of expectations. The premise of the film could have been utilized more effectively. However, the first 3/4 of the film just dragged on and on and did not lead anywhere. Then all of a sudden, there was a burst of plot and action with new characters all within the last 20 minutes! It did not come together nicely.Brahms ain't no Michael Myers, Jason Vorhees or Freddy Kruger. Not even close. In fact, as the final burst of action of the last act occurred, I found myself pleasantly surprised with the feeling that the film was coming to a close. I feel cheated that I had waited with baited breath for some time to see this film, hopeful that it would be a revival of the "scary doll" horror genre.
