Kelda W (fr) wrote: Excellent and powerful story that is sometimes sad and sometimes in a strange way...funny. David Tennant shows what a talented actor he is in this role that is far removed from "the Doctor"

Courtney W (de) wrote: It's not for everyone, nothing blows up, but I learned a lot about our country's past and present and how the future could be different, if only we were different.

Andrew K (au) wrote: An absurd 80s homage/Frankenstei of sorts. It's got knights, Mad Max inspired hooligans, a scene of two ripped from Aliens, and a very Escape from New York and 28 Days/Weeks Later plot going on. It doesn't do any of those things better than the originals, but the fact that it manages to combine all of those elements with a reckless abandon.

Erica V (ca) wrote: This movie either suffers from bad writing, or bad editing. The plot is sparse, the dialog stilted, the characters undeveloped - when I want EVERY CHARACTER TO DIE you're doing it wrong - and the ending tries to be "mysterious" but ends up just making the film feel like a waste of time. It gets more than 1/2 a star because there were aspects of the plot I will admit to being intriguing, but they just weren't enough to save this flick.

Carla J (jp) wrote: The action is quite slow but the performances of the main actresses are great. Mother and daughter in real life and in the fiction.

Logan M (kr) wrote: An all-around powerful social drama that seeks empathy for its characters on both sides.

Anna B (mx) wrote: Compares unfavourably to Satantango in my eyes, although it is a remarkable film. Tarr's insistence on long takes often causes clumsiness in staging, especially in the clumsy and theatrical opening, and the penultimate hospital scene, which is rather silly to watch (lots of actors running to marks and performing repetetive movements while the camera is on them), and makes little sense (the sudden remorse just because they saw some old naked guy really annoyed me, especially considering they'd just been beating up hospital patients). It does have many beautiful moments though, as I'm sure others have already specified. The final scene is one of the most beautiful and affecting shots I've ever seen, and the marching scene is remarkable. I do think, though, that Bela's reach exceeded his grasp.

Moni K (gb) wrote: Very ambitious but sometimes annoying.

Brian W (fr) wrote: Damon Wayans playing some of his most hilarious characters in this action comedy about a couple of brothers Damon and real life brother Marlon as a couple con-artists who get involved in a credit card scheme.

Greg W (br) wrote: good drama/coming of age pic

Beverley (de) wrote: still a classic even now love kay performance and of corse celia and robert

Andrew M (nl) wrote: It's Groundhog Day! Groundhog Day is a very funny Bill Murray movie and it is a hilarious comedy movie. The plot of the movie couldn't be better. I would very much suggest this movie.

Jaime R (br) wrote: I admit that I am not a big Curtis Hanson fan, because of films like this one. You're better off with "L.A. Confidential" or "Wonder Boys".

Richard H (us) wrote: REVIEW: "FEUX ROUGES" ("Red Lights", 2004) - Great French thriller. Boozing husband threatened by his wife's more successful career embarks on a voyage that becomes a road trip to hell when his wife mysteriously vanishes. Gorgeous Debussy soundtrack.
