Erik F (nl) wrote: Nice documentary about an island nation that will be under water in one hundred years.

Lawson L (es) wrote: Apes doing cool shit for 2 hours, and developing to the point that they seem very human, both in action and sentiment. And there aren't enough dumb Hollywood movie cliches to detract from it.

Samantha H (fr) wrote: The correct movie description: Dumped on her grandparents (Ellen Burstyn and Michael Murphy) for the summer by her indifferent mother (Melissa Leo), acerbic and self-destructive teenager Greta (Hilary Duff) disrupts the elderly couple's staid life on the Jersey Shore in this coming-of-age melodrama. But eventually, a romance with a charming short-order cook (Evan Ross) and the unconditional love of her grandparents help Zoe face down her demons.

Nick P (mx) wrote: Originality can't be everything that a film has going for it, and I'm all about random endings that don't make a lot of sense...except when they really need one. Just when it seemed the ending might redeem the rest of the "okay" film, it begins to get REALLY ridiculous with a horrible fight scene and a conclusion that just leaves you saying "what?" and not in a good way.

John A (ag) wrote: Another excellentl feature from the Dardenne brothers. They certainly hone their skills in subsequent films, but it's all done very well here: the realist, mostly subjective camera, the lack of music, the simple but profound narrative structure. As in their later films, here we have a character coming out of his self-centered view of the world to make contact with another human being, a beautiful and transformative process.

Citien P (jp) wrote: Not quite as original and revealing as its predecessor but still a visually overwhelming evaluation of the diversity of human life.
