Hallam Foe torrent reviews

Ryan F (ru) wrote: This movie was much funnier than it should have been. I wound up really liking this. The script was shamelessly silly and never tried to hide its silliness and never fell into the trap of living off of just one joke. Its shameless silliness and a very likable cast (complete with Chevy Chase in a small role) made this movie work. I will always be a fan of Motley Lou :)

Alex G (fr) wrote: As a film, its pretty damn awful. No tension. Predictable scenes. But damn, this film has some of the funniest deaths and they are done in such weird ways. Also, the lines may not be delivered well, but they are FUNNY. When the local health inspector (main character) tries to convince the mayor to shut down the water system because of the mutated slugs, he gets this response: ""YOU DONT HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO DECLARE HAPPY BIRTHDAY IN THIS TOWN"

Michael H (jp) wrote: Celebrity Deathmatch with a big budget, a joke of a film on the whole, that could be cut down to just the final battle.

Pavan R (es) wrote: A suoerb movie giving us an insight into the life of a dance-bar girl and the whirlpool which everyone around gets sucked into. Superb story and acting with good direction. Tabu especially is great.

Loreno v (ca) wrote: "There's One Born Every Day"From a TV series that barely lasted three seasons in the 1960s, "Star Trek" has grown into a multibillion-dollar industry involving several spin-off series, numerous movies, and countless merchandise items. This phenomenon is due to the show's legions of rabidly devoted fans, popularly known as "Trekkies."REVIEWA documentary for Trekkies, made by Trekkies, about Trekkies. Trekkies are Star Trek fans, usually very obsessed fans (there is a brief segment on the debate between what are 'Trekkies' and 'Trekkers', but no conclusions are reached). The film, hosted by Crosby (who played Tasha Yar on the Next Generation TV series), who's also a producer, focuses on the whole gamut of far-flung Trek fans, including, famously, the juror who showed up in Trek uniform, and the dentist who converted his office into a Trek starbase. Then there's the guy who recreated a motorized life-support chair (from an early classic Trek episode) and rides around in it on his town's streets, only his head visible poking up from the top. Most of the fans come across as harmless eccentrics who are actually fairly intelligent (the one exception is a guy who, for some reason, seems to be wearing a female wig and lipstick - kinda creepy - I think he thinks he's Troi of the TNG series). The central message conveyed is a hope for a better future, without prejudices or other social problems. It that sense, these fans are, indeed, more advanced than the average citizen, who is still stuck with the 20th-century's petty squabbling and short-sightedness. There are also short interviews with several of the classic and Next Generation cast members, including (poignantly) DeForest Kelley, who died in '99, and Leonard Nimoy (Spock), Jimmy Doohan (Scotty), Walter Koenig (Chekov), Nichelle Nichols (Uhura), Brent Spiner (Data), Michael Dorn (Worf), Jonathan Frakes (Riker) and Kate Mulgrew (Capt.Janeway). Some relate very touching stories about how the show literally changed someone's life for the better, including a suicide prevention by Doohan. It also touches briefly on the fringe element of Trek worship, the pornographic fantasy trade. The end credits contain clips from some stand-up comics doing Trek jokes, which are pretty funny.

Corey n (de) wrote: This is a funny film. The film stars comedian Sinbad as a con artist on the run from the mob who he owes money to. He pretends to be a famous dentist and hides out with someone who thinks he was his old college roomate. The film also stars Phil Hartman as the person who mistakes him as the old friend. I will admit this is a funny film. Sinbad is very funny in this. Phil Hartman also brings some laughs. I always seem to enjoy watching this film. Well worth a watch.

Michael H (jp) wrote: Occasional stumbles don't derail this incredibly bleak movie. By sticking with the protagonist throughout we share his experience of the escalating out of control confusion and sometimes bizarre interactions as people move in and out of his immediate sphere of experience. An effective low budget apocalyptic character-thriller.

John E (ca) wrote: WHY isn't this movie available on a Region 1 DVD -- even Blu-ray?! It's absurd that we can't have this -- a fine adaptation of Ken Kesey's second (and IMHO, best) novel.

Lindsay B (it) wrote: Arkin was such a great villain. The last 15 minutes were so amazingly intense, glad I finally watched this.

Brian C (ru) wrote: Oh boy was this something special. The monsters were pathetic, the acting was too. They story was no prize, but it had a neat premise. Giant Leeches were draining the blood of innocents, and left a lake lifeless. The game warden is on the case...
