Hamlet

Winner of four Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Actor, Sir Laurence Olivier’s Hamlet continues to be the most compelling version of Shakespeare’s beloved tragedy. Olivier is at his most inspired—both as director and as the melancholy Dane himself—as he breathes new life into the words of one of the world’s greatest dramatists.

Prince Hamlet struggles over whether or not he should kill his uncle, whom he suspects has murdered his father, the former king. . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

Juliet H (us) wrote: One of the worst scripts ever. Written, Directed and Produced by the same man who I believe did it because no one else was stupid enoughto think that the abysmal script would work as anything other than toilet paper. The acting was so wooden that the rest of the cast made Angle and co look like the spirits of Olivier and the cinematography would have been poor for Home and Away. Just don't get me started on the 'special effects'.In all this was amateur hour at its very worst.

monsieur r (es) wrote: The soundtrack is goofy, the camerawork is not the greatest and the cast is uninteresting. Other than that I suppose this could interest somebody. It barely held my attention. Melina Mercouri, a French actress I just don't like. Maxmillian Schell has this goofy grin on his face most of time. Peter Ustinov is the only person that gives life to this long awaited robbery of a museum. Films like this give foreign productions bad press. Peter Ustinov won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in director Jules Dassin's lighthearted thriller about five thieves (including Melina Mercouri, Maximilian Schell and Robert Morley) who undertake an "absolutely impossible" grand theft in Istanbul. While having much praise from critics, I just don't know why.
