(de) wrote: I finally finished this movie, although after seeing it, I really can't remember if I had finished it before or not. I remembering watching this when I was in middle-school -ish early high-school but I can't recall if I watched it all the way through, a part of me had always said no, but now that I finally finished the film, a part of me is saying I have seen it all the way through. Hmm, well because of this I went on amazon, and actually order the detox book by Alexandra and also realizing, she must be making bank of this book, the film was great, very informative and after realizing how many Americans is so overweight, and after watch this film, I'm sure a lot of people like me, would buy the detox book as well, especially if they want to eat a little bit more healthier than the average american.
(fr) wrote: Probably the best I've seen acting wise from JCVD. I'm not really a fan of his, but this movie is decent because it wasn't totally predictable. I liked the moral reason of "dont let them turn you into something you're not."

She has no place to go and no one to go to when somehow she becomes entangled in a triangle of lies, deceit, robbery, and murder. Can Claire unwind herself from the confusion and perhaps rediscover true love? "I bet she hates that...having her picture taken." Bruce McDonald, director of Pontypool, The Dark Room, Trigger, Highway 61, and Roadkill, delivers Picture Claire. The storyline for this picture is discombobulated, hard to follow, and not particularly interesting. The acting is mediocre and the cast includes Juliette Lewis, Gina Gershon, Peter Stebbings, Callum Keith Rennie, and Mickey Rourke. "Keep talking until you bore them." Picture Claire is a movie that grabbed my attention because it "starred" Mickey Rourke; unfortunately, while his character was interesting, he was only in this picture 5-10 minutes. This movie reminded me of Run, Lola, Run which was also a dreadful movie with a limited plot. Overall, this film doesn't contain characters worth following and concludes with a whimper rather than a fireworks finale as one may anticipate. "Heading back to Montreal, Cinderella?" Grade: D-
(kr) wrote: Wow to find a movie this bad blows my mind. Not a shrewd of good acting a horrible plot, the worst acting by a supporting actress I've ever seen, she has 5 different accents, Russian Canadian, native American Scottish and Mexican. Beaver that cry like humans the cheesiest lines ever, scenes that drag on and on and have no meaning like the over dramatized scene about him dying his hair, the wardrobe was not from 1930's. One horrible movie.

(es) wrote: Surprisingly good drama from Woody Allen about post-traumatic life that make an ex-housewife struggle to pick up the pieces about the life that she had before.. A remarkably strong performance from Cate Blanchett, as she already an Oscar winner before, no doubt that she portraying the leading role in this movie really well.. Truly deserve all the credit and the awards awarded to her.. While Sally Hawkins' performance in this movie is some scene-stealer and for me she did it..
(br) wrote: It's a silly and funny teen comedy. It's not the best but memorable characters and memorable scenes make it a memorable film. However the plot of this film isn't very consistent and leads to nothing.
(gb) wrote: From beginning to end, this one's more concerned with style than anything else.
(jp) wrote: very good movie. I like how this story went.
(us) wrote: Very dark. Very disturbing. This film reminded me of Ian McEwan's early short stories - the bleak, hopeless world. The soundtrack went very well with the imagery. I was particularly struck by Tilda Swinton's performance as Ella - from the long, whispy body hair to the crumbs falling from her mouth, she was every inch the bargewoman. Ewan McGregor was great, of course. He's a phenomenal actor, perhaps my favorite. This film is not for the faint of heart. 17 and up.
