A warm but light film of intertwining relationships, B&G does not have big or screaming scenes neither a broad story; just a simple theme on friendship, love, discovery with a happy ending. Highly recommended.
Jeff Z (es) wrote: This is a film that's great all around the edges but weak in the middle. The edges include all the little touches--the casting of Lizabeth Scott, Lional Stander, Al Lettieri and Bogart lookalike Robert Sacchi. Mickey Rooney is even okay. Caine seems a bit disinterested though I liked some of his narration. The plot, story and action are the middle and they're all weak. The dialogue and music are also unmemorable.
