Ben L (jp) wrote: Honestly, I'm not quite sure what to say about this exceptthat it's a good musical, a terrible movie. The acting sucks, the pacing is rushed, the sets are cardboard and the costumes look purchased from your everyday Halloween superstore. But the songs are amazing, voices and all (in a sappy, Rodgers & Hammerstein kind of way). Zooey Deschanel is my favorite - she's uber-hot and she has the most amazing voice ever. And after a while you have to admit that if this was a real 60's musical, maybe it wouldn't seem so stupid. But for whatever reason, it does. I'll never, ever watch this movie again, but I admit that I'll be humming "Happily Ever After" and "Normandy" for a while.
Michael T (ru) wrote: Gleefully stupid, and not much else I can say about it. If it weren't for Bruce Campbell, this movie would have blown.
Andy M (ru) wrote: A true masterpiece in Disney sequels. Everyone's favorite little blue alien and weird girl duo returning and a horde of new characters like Hamsterwhe...I mean Hamsterviel, Experiment 625 (aka Reuben) and Sparky. Colorful animation, adorable genetically engineered experiments and a good moral (even if it is recycled), Stitch the Movie is a great way to set up Lilo and Stitch the Series.

Ben J (gb) wrote: A Star Wars film with a lot of potential severely spoiled by goofy characters, sounds and special effects. However some of the Star Wars magic does shine through with Ray Park stealing the show with his wushu martial arts skill, portraying Darth Maul. A character who really seems to capture the atmosphere of the dark side as Darth Vader did in the original. The fight scenes with Darth Maul, Obi wan and Qiu Gon Jin are amazing and make the movie worth holding a spot in the Star Wars universe. I hope however in the future Disney manage to make a special edition of this and with all the green screen footage they took they could probably fix at least some of the goofyness like, Jar Jar, the< Pod Racing commentator ect. Well we can only hope...

Indi V (mx) wrote: For the first hour and a half, this is a well done, thrilling, and always interesting mystery. Unfortunately, the last ten minutes might make you want to yell obscenities over the stupidity of one character. Our story: A Dutch woman goes missing at a gas station in France and her husband tries to find her. Good premise, though it feels more like the kidnapper of the film is the lead as opposed to the husband. The film spends a lot of time focusing on the kidnapper, his methods of preparation, a few misfires before he gets lucky and manages to abduct the Dutch woman. These scenes are downright chilling to watch. The guy is so calm and meticulous in his planning. For the most part, the husband searching for his wife does a good job. His grief feels natural. His obsession over losing one partner causes him to drive away a second partner. Unfortunately, he gets one decision at the end that makes the cannon fodder in most horror movies look like Stephen Hawking compared to him. Going into too much detail on this would spoil the movie, however. It's a good thriller. It really is, but how our lead could make such an incredibly idiotic decision in the last ten minutes given everything he's learned up to this point is a little irritating.
Allan C (nl) wrote: Solid, though not all that original, neo-noir. Kilmer is a PI hired by a femme fatal to faker her death. Double crosses and plot twists ensure. Enjoyable, but not nearly as smart or clever at say the Coen Brothers' first film "Blood Simple". The film does however feature a pre-Reservoir Dogs Michael Madsen as a psycho who likes to torture people.
