Julian T (ru) wrote: Simply dreadful. Not to say I was expecting anything even close to respectable, but I was still hugely disappointed. Imagine 'Piranha 3D' with somehow even worse acting, dialogue and effects with sharks substituted for piranhas and you get the idea. I know that's hard to imagine, but it is somehow acomplished. As I said, the acting is just TERRIBLE. The writing and character interaction is worse. The direction is seizure inducing and impossible to follow. The story is ludicrous. The sharks are rendered using Playstation 2 graphics. Just an unbelievable piece of garbage to put it bluntly. Full of insanely stupid plot devices and blatant disinformation about sharks, it succeeds in being horrible both as a legitimate film and as an exploitation piece. So many head-scratching moments that I really can't even begin to scratch the surface. Really, there is nothing whatsoever to like about the movie. I'd have to say that this is a solid step behind even the horrible 'Shark Attack' series and pretty much every SyFy Original shark movie ever made. I'm having a hard time remembering why I'm giving it 1.5 stars, because its probably at least a half a star too high.

Rob (mx) wrote: Somewhat campier than its creepy predecessors and with an arguably dated overreliance on the virtues and nobility of Christianity, this is another entertaining installment in Hammer's immortal Dracula series where style always triumphs over anything approaching substance. The increasingly disinterested Lee nonetheless dives into his signature role, spitting his venomous lines like daggers. The rest of the cast are faceless but serviceable, there's some thrills, spills and scares and a really blood-curdling main theme by James Bernard.
