Matthew L (ag) wrote: Oh my God. This is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. It gets literally everything else other than a short runtime wrong. From the terrible performances to the awful story, The Forger is garbage on all levels possible and I implore viewers not to witness this travesty.

Alaine B (ag) wrote: Bostin Christopher and Illeana Douglas are worth watching in this. Kidnapped girl escapes, family gets revenge, sort of. Humor, creepiness, violence.

Dan S (de) wrote: A dirty, disturbing, and disgusting film chronicling the life of a man (Peter Greene) with schizophrenia released from a mental institution, and his efforts to reconnect with his mother and to find his daughter, while a detective (Robert Albert) is convinced he is responsible for a murder of a young girl. While, as said above, this is a filthy movie, it will definitely stick with you. The disease of schizophrenia is detailed in rich detail, the little voices popping up here and there, director Lodge Kerrigan really makes you feel like you are experiencing what this guy has to live with, and it feels terrible. Although I do think it ran a little short, and the detective wasn't as colored as he should've been, this is an overall outstanding movie with a phenomenal performance from Peter Greene.

Eduardo C (es) wrote: Out of fucking print for ages. Does anyone really think a film starring Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing, John Carradine and Vincent Price wouldn't be a minor sales hit in the cult circuit?

Stephen E (mx) wrote: "True Confessions" is one of the slowest films I've seen. And not only is it slow, but it has virtually no climax or plot and the ending just sort of happens. That being said, Robert De Niro and Robert Duvall give some good performances (the latter doing a better job) and there are some scenes that are particularly interesting, not to mention that the production design is impeccable.

Gregg A (es) wrote: Great film but Steve McQueen is almost too like-able to be the cold blooded killer Tom Horn. Beautiful flick and the new DVD does it justice.

Brad H (de) wrote: With a tagline that exclaims She 6 feet 2? of dynamiteand the hottest super agent ever!? Cleopatra Jones is a campy foray into the blaxploitation genre (at times, it almost seems like you(TM)re watching a 70(TM)s sitcom), and one that seems to be more inspired by James Bond movies than by it(TM)s super pimp peers. Jones carries an array of gadgets: there's her Corvette, complete with a hidden arsenal in the door; her karate; her costumes, and especially her embossed federal ID card, which indicates she's working for the President himself. The main bad guys, by the way, are a gang of white drug pushers led Shelly Winters who plays a lesbian Ma Barker-type character named Mommy.? The film cruises along with a certain low-brow gusto but, ultimately, is just plain silly and quite forgettable.

JohnnyLee T (nl) wrote: Despite a compelling script and a knockout performance from Marlon Brando, I wish the film were more inspirational because the message is important. Maybe time has faded its impact. The over-dramatic Bernstein score takes away more than it gives. The irony of this film's being made only because its director DIDN'T do what Terry Malloy did - stand up to thugs in authority - leaves me with reservations. I wish I could be kinder but it saddens me that Kazan never expressed regret for what he did - see both his and Brando's autobiographies. Maybe this film is his way of expressing that regret. We certainly wouldn't have this compelling drama if he had acted otherwise. There is life in all its complexity.
