(ca) wrote: The idea of a supposedly intelligent scientist falling in league with a crowd of idiots to sell plutonium doesn't work well in this film. They needed to develop the characters a bit more before they unloaded that on the audience.
(mx) wrote: uhmmm gabrielle makes it look yummy... actually it looks like hitch movie, just that hitch is better... but jamie does good job in it, as he usually does... he can play many characters in a single role, all the different situation he is at, makes him look what he feels like...

(de) wrote: This movie's dvd includes several special features with unusual titles and they are not necessarily very interesting to watch though they are connected to the movie and its premise. Adoration is a unique, interesting, strange film of a boy who does a class presentation in which he reveals that his dad was a terrorist (later we find out that this is an assignment that is fictionalized with the encouragement of the teacher who later proves to be the former wife of his dad). He then goes online and has conversations with people who are under the impression that this story of his is true. In reality, his father and his mother died in a car accident due to inattentiveness by the father; the boy was told by his grandfather that the father had intended to kill his wife. A suspenseful film. 9/10

It doesn't have the charm of Ferris Bueller, for example, and it's missing the humor of Uncle Buck. I couldn't relate to the characters and it hasn't really aged well. Maybe you had to watch this film as an angsty teenager to truly appreciate it.

(es) wrote: Another of my favourite films, this one is about the Irish Mob in Hell's Kitchen. It has an oustanding cast featuring: Sean Penn, Ed Harris, Gary Oldman, Robin Wright-Penn and John Turturro. Oldman is at his craziest here, for a while, he was easily the best actor of his generation and was in peak form in this movie. A must for fans of his or Mob movies for sure.
