Angel J (br) wrote: Being a zombie fanatic and a big enthusiast on zombie flicks, I thought the reviews for this film was way to harsh then it was. First let's bring up the budget of this film. For a foreign American influences zombie film, it did a okay job in delivering as a zombie flick. A Zombie flick should have three certain characteristics to make it a decent zombie movie. It needs fantastic make up, a very dynamic location, and a shit load of action. I believe this movie hit these three points. It didn't hit it with the same amount of force as the Dawn of the Dead remake or The Crazies, but it made for a decent movie. I would agree that this was very cheesy, but than again, what zombie movie isn't cheesy. I really enjoyed the cheesiness and corniness of this film and I would see it again. I always encourage and promote up and coming film makers to make zombie flicks. That's how George A Romero started. Although, i must admit, there are many plot holes and over dramatic acting, but the strong suits of this film wasn't the story. This film led from its action packed zombie murders and suspense.

Nice story, well shown, but a story that can be put somewhere between fairy tales, yet somehow becomes a comedy mixed with a biting social realism. Great chemistry between Gael and Diego. Nice one.And I really smiled at the end
Luke B (ca) wrote: Those Sprouse boys are painfully annoying, and it's them that ruin this film. They are irritating, idiotic and poor actors. Watch in disbelief as they try on their "angry faces". It's a confusing and worrying expression. The Sprouse's aren't exactly Culkin's, and the escapades of the young boys soon wear thin. Charming enough to pass as an acceptable Christmas film. Just expect to become infuriated at parts.

Corey n (au) wrote: The dog Benji is back in another movie. I saw the original movie when I was a kid and ended up watching this as well years later. This is your typical adventure of Benji off in the woods. Solid story for a live action animal movie. There is not much human interaction or talking in this since the main focus is on Benji. This is a good movie for kids and the family to enjoy.

Corey B (ru) wrote: Strange western that it takes a certain mood to appreciate it. I watched it once and found it boring, watched in a angsty mood and found this movie very well done. Doesn't go by the book very much but in my opinion does better than the book.
William W (de) wrote: This was a decent watch, not for cinematic reasons per se but for making the world a better place. I watched this with my son, Julian, and I was pleased with how they took the true story, including the actual dolphin from it, and, especially for kids, promoted environmentalism, caring for animals, etc.--really solid and important aspects that need to be, more than ever, emphasized in the youth of today. My only qualms is that I have very mixed emotions about the casting. I know that to get an important environmental message heard, and thus the film watched, you have to incorporate Hollywood megastars. I simply wish this didn't have to be the case. The story would have come across better with unknown actors--or simply as a sincere documentary without the Hollywood B.S.
Toms G (es) wrote: Visually stunning and with a great main character (Josh Lucas) but the story is lack of charisma and with holes in the plot
David C (ru) wrote: It was actually a great movie even though the main character was given the worst lines; he can't rap. I guess they cannot all be perfect.
Lafe F (gb) wrote: We Dungeons and Dragons crazed players just ran to see this greatly-promoted flick in the mid-80's. It was a cheap carnival ride of a movie, with a geeky scientist and his hi-tech digital watch - having to become a hero to rescue his sexy new girlfriend from a demonic wizard who calls himself "The Dungeonmaster". The hero dude must complete several tasks laid out by the Dungeonmaster to win his girl back. Each task takes him to different places and times, and were done by different directors. One challenge had the hero taking out a stone giant, with great stop-motion animation, which lasted only a few minutes. Too much time is spent with the challenge involving the hero stopping serial killer in a present-day city setting. There's a post-apocalyptic Road Warrior homage. There was a good challenge in a wax museum of horrors, and all the figures coming alive. The dialogue between the hero and the Dungeonmaster is hilarious and badly written. It was a cheesy movie on a shoestring budget. Vehicles, actors and music was re-used from the "Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared-Syn" flick.
