Heal The Living

It all starts at daybreak, three young surfers on the raging seas. A few hours later, on the way home, an accident occurs. Now entirely hooked up to life-support in a hospital in Le Havre, Simon’s existence is little more than an illusion. Meanwhile, in Paris, a woman awaits the organ transplant that will give her a new lease on life.

Amelia T (gb) wrote: I've loved & watched all of Miyazaki's anime films .. whimsical, delightful, incredible characters, yet full of realistic points that makes the films amazing for adults too. So this behind-the-scenes is simply very insightful, & makes me appreciate the thoughts behind the films more. Miyazaki's approach to life is also wonderful: delighting in not knowing, incessantly questioning, critical yet embracing. full of humor. Visually it's nothing great, but Miyazaki's character & habits are what matters & makes this documentary so interesting.

Kanoa S (de) wrote: Wow... I'm one of a few who gives this movie a five star review. Funny, because I think this movie is great. As it was a part of my childhood it is very enjoyable to watch with the right amount of horror, comedy, and romance for a kids movie. The animations are great and I think the storyline is awesome.

Chris C (nl) wrote: Trumpy you can do stupid things. This relatively harmless bit of ET ripoff merged with a slasher movie horror plot, isn't the worst ET ripoff (that's Nukie).

Matthew L (ru) wrote: Casablanca with silicone, car chases, shoot outs and enough explosions to impress Michael Bay. Easily one of the worst comic book movies ever, not a redeeming feature in sight, unless your a 14 year old boy. Doesn't even fall into the 'so bad it's good category'.

Richard N (ag) wrote: The plot of Serpico is based around a true story dealing with corruption, bribes and kick-backs within the NYPD which far from being a few isolated instances seems to have been the norm at least in the 70's. The whole sleazy structure is threatened by Frank Serpico who as an uncorrupted cop finds himself shunned by his venal colleagues and marginalized by the very organization he works for for threatening their nefarious activities and illicit cash flows.Serpico takes a bullet during a drugs bust which almost finishes him, but rather than assist a fellow officer his colleagues leave him to die a slow painful death yet miraculously for him he survives, much to the undoubted chagrin of the department. In breaking the unwritten code of silence and complicity in their corrupt activities Serpico made himself a target, a figure of derision even outright hostility, one they would have preferred to quietly disappear. It ably makes the point that unaccountable authority corrupts absolutely, blurring the distinction between criminal and law enforcement, the so called good guys turning out to be equally rotten as those they're supposed to be investigating. Themes that still resonate today. Pacino gives one of his finest stand-out performances here and literally carries this film single-handed, quite an achievement. A certified classic of 70's cinema.

Tracey C (ca) wrote: Okay, so I really like all of the other American Pie movies, this is...not so much. It seems as though they tried to put as much sex in as possible and let girls reveal themselves as often as they can. It's the usual 3 guys trying to get laid story, but they seem to get so close, so many times and constantly fail for one reason or another. and the situations that they are constantly thrown into seem totally unrealistic of normal life, but still worth the laughs.
