I suppose the day I become that cynical about people it's probably time to go.And that's why I like this movie. Wiig takes a break from comedy to play a downtrodden woman who evidently has a bigger independent streak than we'd ever guess. She works as a maid, and her new job introduces her to the not-so-nice man played by Guy Pearce, and his daughter and her friend. Mostly the friend takes it upon herself to write letters to Wiig's character as the dad. Wiig, who has never had attention from a man, evidently, falls fast and hard and moves to be with him.I have no problem believing the movie to this point. Wiig's character seems to be lacking character so the biggest leap of faith is that she has something like this in her. But it happens. The better part of the story is that it actually works. He first proves to be a loser, but as she cooks for him and treats him with respect, he says, "I can get used to this." Not sure a greater point was the intent of the writers here, but that's the way I took it. It would be easy to give up on a guy like Ken. He's a druggie loser with a criminal past. But Johanna doesn't know any better. And she perseveres. And her good is contagious. I do believe that exists. Not all the time, and if you try you're likely to get burned a great number of times. But I think good people can change bad people and we should never stop trying. And realistic or not - that can be up for debate - this story went that way and I kinda like it.
Alex r (it) wrote: This was one of those films that had so much potential of being the next great low budget horror flick of the year. Considering the premise, it would have been a sure success. Alas, it was not to be, and All Superheroes Must Die is one of the most dreadful schlock fests I've seen this year. The film is plagued with a poor cast (aside from James Remar who is the ONLY good thing about the film), poor directing and lazy script. The film feels rushed and in turn, it suffers majorly. What could have been a great film is a horrible entry in the horror genre. I would describe the film as Kickass meets Saw. Now with that being said, you might think that it would a cool little flick to watch. Unfortunately that couldn't be further from the truth. The game is poorly executed and every trap is basically explosives, it's very impressive and ends up being boring. There was one game that I liked, and even that one was pretty bland. The film looks cheap, feels cheap and it doesn't feel like there was any effort put into it. I love low-budget horror, some of the better films of the genre are shot with a shoestring budget, but most filmmakers are passionate about their work, and try to create something that sets them apart from other directors in the genre. Director Jason Trost who also blessed us with a lame performance as one of the superheroes direction is sloppy and he clearly was last in his class in film school. If the project would have had the influence of someone more talented such as Don Coscarelli, Adam Green or Ti West, then maybe this film would have succeeded. As a whole, the film is good idea s sunk by a sloppily written script. All Superheroes Must Die fails to entertain, and James Remar as the villain Rickshaw is good here, but sadly he can't redeem the sheer awfulness of this film. A big disappointment.

I was one of those oh I guess I will watch it since it's on TV. Then before you know it your hooked and watching it over because you went to get popcorn during the commercial and didnt time it right so you missed part of the movie!

And some of the user base there opinion's on what the critic say. So if you like adventure and the struggle that people over come when faced with adversity then watch this filem.
