Andy G (it) wrote: Excellent movie. This movie has the best visuals in the series (which look great in 3D, btw), as well as really excellent writing and animation. The movie deviates from the previous films in that it's more serious in tone than the others, but I think it was absolutely the right direction to take the series for the last entry, and there are still plenty of great funny moments throughout the film as well. This movie very nearly took the spot of being my favorite Shrek movie, but Shrek 2 just barely beat it.Personal Grade: S+Technical Score: 86%

Although I must say that when he finally pulls his head from his ass to tell her how he felt and she looked back at him and said she loved him it touched me. Made me want someone to tell me that right then. Guess I'm just too big of a sap though. I mean they got the guys as the cliche think with their dicks not caring about a serious relationship and the women play the sweet and caring clingy type. I miss my special someone. I want her to be clingy with me. I want her to want to spend that much time with me and take note of the little things like the chick in the movie did. Guess it hits home right now as I just miss that feeling of being wanted like that and feel a little lost without that special someone. It doesn't reinvent the wheel but uses what most of these types of movies do. There are worse movies out there. It's worth watching once in my opinion.

Brendan N (au) wrote: Just caught this again and I still find this film a strong mix of high concept and horror. The team behind some of the great X Files episodes and a bizarre entire second season of Millennium keep the momentum moving. Sure it gets bogged down story but the twists and shocks keep coming right until the end. At a time when slasher films were coming back in the droves, this upset the balance and with 5 films you can see this delivered to the fans. I increased this by half a star because it is still a cool film that deserves the following it has. Number 5 really sealed the series but I think this series could continue on.
